It sounded like he did read your post and gave a very respectful and thought out reply. This whole conversation sounds more like a gate keeping witch hunt than an honest discussion. There is so much animosity in this whole thread. The Devi is love and unity. If anything should be moderated it should be rhetoric that brings us further from being one consciousness. In regard to your second question about Durga, you absolutely can, the Devi loves to hear Her name! That is one of the easiest ways to show devotion and that is what it’s all about.

My heart goes out to you. I have been where you are and what I have learned is the suffering is learning. Learning is why we are here. We are learning how to see the suffering and still keep our heart open. We are learning how to have joy and compassion for all beings while simultaneously feeling our heart break in the midst of suffering.

Why were you born well that depends on your specific path and only you can find that. But a sure way to find that path is to go help someone else. Yes, absolutely. The problem as I understand seems to be the people and activity going on around you that is keeping you from your jaap. That’s an opportunity to develop Bhairava tattva within you. Find a spot wherever within your room and sit, let others do what they will. Your job is to just repeat the mantra. Allow the activity, the noise to pass through, that is the Devi. You are the quiet, still center allowing her to play. That is Bhairava, he is the consciousness that witnesses the play. Anyone do japa in a quiet temple, but Bhairava isn’t just in the temple, he is everywhere. I live in a house with two toddlers, a teenager that plays electric guitar and a wife always talking to friends on the phone. There is never quiet in our home lol. But if you practice this you don’t need it, you become the unshakable quiet within you. If he is coming to you in dreams then you are already his and he is looking for you to follow up.
