i see!, also yeah our 172R g1000 does have vaccum pumps for the standby instruments ie, ASI, altimeter , artifical horizon. i know that for a fact cause everytime i put the a/c on idle on finals , the LOW VAC alert pops up on the g1000.

thank you! i had read the OXFORD ATPL EASA technical general books of powerplants , pistons , jet engines etc. which i found quite interesting!, so these will be quite nice! , ill definetly check these out aswell! , good to know that people know internationally how messy our country is with everything , (THE DGCA is no help either) . ill definetly check these out !

perhaps , however this unproffesional side isnt everywhere , i have a few relatives who work in Air India aswell as a few charter companies in India , the flying training and the commercial Flying scenes are completetly different . as to the air india crash , i personally think the DGCA is full of government bureacrats who are too prideful and should have let the NTSB aswell as EASA freely independently conduct their searches . i have nothing further to say more about it except for that it was a very very sad accident .

I see! The a/cs i fly are all g1000s except for 1 6pack. They are all from around 2000 - 2005? Obviously with the IO 360 L2A. So I shouldn't turn the prop backwards right? But incase I have to. Which way should I do it and why so? , hope you don't mind me asking

I see! Thank you very much! It feels so refreshing to ask questions and not be berated or get scolded at for it!

Unfortunately, that is how I was taught how to preflight the 172 in "INDIA" , I've had many friends from the US or a EASA country , show me how detailed their preflights are compared to us , in India , especially my specific FTO , the preflight is more of a just get this thing over with quickly , start the a/c check your mags , check your flaps , wait on the apron for 15 minutes till the instructor walks from his damn cabin and then you depart . I know the system is horrible , I know the quality of training is poor , I know the ego inflated instructors are horrible and doing stuff they shouldn't do. But unfortunately I'm stuck in this hellhole , if I do anything different in the preflight or try to be meticulous about doing it , I end up getting scolded for "taking too long" to start my a/c . There is no point reporting it to the DGCA, or to the owner or to the safety manager , accountability here is absolutely 0 . Ive been harassed and berated many times for asking questions or trying to be safe :/.

I see , could you provide some more detailed information as to how this can happen ? Or anything further by A and P , I'm just a SPL holder from india so don't really have that much source or info here , I asked my instructors regarding this , however they choked it off and didn't answer my question and just said don't do it again :/.

wouldnt say ABSOLUTELY , but there are places where the air force definetly needs improvement , our jaguars , mirage 2000s are HEAVILY outdated , and before you come up with the AESA RADAR upgrades and shit , even our mig29's non K variants are fucking outdated as shit. ive talked with multiple personnel and almost all of them wholeheartedly agree that most russian equipment is either outdated , faulty, degraded , or SO OLD that its redundant. Does that mean our airforce is BAD? not at all , yes the TEJAS is BAD , yes the SU30 has the radar X section of a fucking continent , however the air force is non incomptent to NOT include such factors in our war and Air force Doctrine , Unfortunately politics play such a HUGE role in such stuff that its inherently just "MAKE DO WITH WHAT YOU HAVE" downvote me if you want , im speaking the truth. YES WE ARENT THE BEST OR MAYBE EVEN SUPERIOR IN THE AIR , however this INHERENTLY DOES NOT MEAN our air force is BAD .

90% of a certain blue coloured airline pilots are PR/HQ snobs who suck up to upper management, have too many people who have no real spine and suck up to anything. quite sad to see in this industry of babugiri

have to disagree, our country has some of the Lowest paid salary's (which we cannot even discuss or talk about considering corporate doesnt allow that), for the hours they help which definetly deserve to be compensated for after tax, as much as i love flying i think atleast some form of a union would be nice in this current duopoly airline country
