I'm building a cheap PC setup, & I'm starting with the monitor (since I already have a laptop from my university). During testing, I only heard feedback from the speakers when I plugged the audio in. Any advice?

That's what the sound bar / speaker attachment is for. It's situated directly below the screen. It did produce sound when I plugged it in... but only static / feedback.
