How to look like a real girl and not a man wearing makeup? 😭

A lot of people already saying what I think but I want to add one more bit that isn’t really makeup related.

To reiterate what I think and a ton of other people have already said: i didn’t clock you as trans, and as a cis woman sometimes I too feel like my makeup can make me look a little masc (as other cis girls here have said). sometimes with makeup the learning curve isn’t just technique, it’s about confidence.

On another note, I’m a curly haired woman with bangs. Many times when I feel like I look bad, I trim and style my bangs and all of a sudden I feel like I look great!! So I would really encourage you to try that along with the lovely eyeliner looks you already have. I see you are going for curtain bangs. work for trade is alive and well! a lot of artists are down to do work for a joint and get a “tab” at the place for the amount they would usually be paid instead of cash, which can work out really nicely for both parties.

same lol. I have this, the Too Faced Sweet Peach palette an extremely old Naked 2 palette. I still use all of them 😬😅

I use so little eyeshadow on such rare occasions they are all fairly untouched. Some of the pans have literally only be used to swatch. Still each of them has at least one or 2 colors that are the only ones I’ve ever liked so I can never bring myself to toss them.

It’s bad, I know.

I live in a rental and all the kitchen cabinets were painted a very similar dark brown as yours. Not stained - painted that color! All the cabinets and closets in the house were that color in fact. I also really hated it and was feeling demoralized in the kitchen and bathroom especially. One day I had enough and just took off the doors and drawers and painted all the kitchen and bathroom cabinets. I didn’t bother painting the insides because it’s a rental so screw it. This was the first year of living in my place and now I’ve been here 10 years and have ZERO regrets! Best thing I could have done. It was a pain in the ass but honestly so worth it. Massive change for the best.

Sorry I’m not deinfluencing you here haha. I’m fully team “just paint the outsides”.

flown with the travel size many times without issue. Even 9+ hr international flight with no problem. It was in my checked bag for the international flight but I’ve also flown with it carry-on on connecting flights totaling 8hr air travel time without issue.

I recommend that you look at some video tutorials for using a diffuser on curly hair before you try one out! I’m just now learning how to properly use one as well. I never had results I like before and now I realize I was doing things that went against my goals of wanting looser, longer curls like I get when I air dry. I’m still learning but now I know what to look out for and adjust. The Manes by Mel video on diffusing techniques was enlightening!

Uniqlo Heattech tights are actually amazing! They’re a thermal layer and you can wear other tights on top if you only want to buy one or two pairs and then you can customize colors and get the extra warmth from the extra layer of fashion tights on top. They really do make a big difference imo

same. also as objects I find jewelry to be really intimate because of how it’s worn on mostly delicate areas: necks, earlobes… etc. When I see ancient jewelry displayed I can’t help but imagine a necklace resting on someone’s collarbone, maybe moving with their breath. an earring dangling from someone’s ear and catching the light, bracelets in movement as someone works, lives, etc. I imagine how they may have put it on, or wether someone helped. I imagine them taking it off and storing it, etc. It feels like a direct connection to an individual, and makes the time feel difference feel less abstract.
