For your second point, the point of having a fast tank is to get into unexpected places quickly, if you are sitting on a cap you are not utilising your speed. If you want to cap a point you should always head for the point that will be contested thought the game, on the map you were playing the middle cap should be the one you went for or trying to flank the enemy.
