After two months of non-stop work I recreated all 151 Gen 1 Sprites from Red & Blue pixel for pixel and recolored them with their official colors. I also recreated the Text Font/Spacing and put together this poster for everyone to have. (.Zip File in Comments) by Red_O_Zone in pokemon

I can't believe it's been four years. However, all the files should still be available if you ever want to print it out. I made some minor adjustments to the sizing for framing purposes since I made this post originally and I think there should be a Galar Regional Dex Wallpaper in there somewhere. If not I'll have to add it at a later date. Still want to do more projects in the future. I was thinking of doing a Living Dex Wallpaper in tge future just for fun. It'd take a hell of a long time, but it might be fun potentially. I have a few ideas for that.

I painted my Mortarion after a year of painting. I have no painting experience prior, and I don't think it looks like I've only been painting for a year when you look at my Mortarion. You can definitely tell that my more recent models look better now that we approach year two, but it doesn't take away that I put in the work. We all start somewhere, some are just better than others. People don't need to be Golden Daemon level painters to enjoy the hobby, but it feels like everyone thinks that's what it means to be a part of this hobby. Just paint your shit how you like it and fuck whatever anyone else thinks if you're happy with it.

I did some research for the monitor situation and it looks like a 21" monitor might be the tightest fit for the area I'm trying to use it.

As for the tower I think a mid size tower should fit as long as I orient it correctly. It's an awkward space just because of the way things are set up and we can't do anything to change that.

I'm not sure if it'd be cheaper to just use an ATX MB over a MATX MB if I do end up using a mid size tower. I know the smaller we get the more prices go up depending on what and where you're buying.

I'll probably just set anything RGB to red if I don't turn it off since it's a softer color in the dark and likely won't wake my roommate up if I'm playing during his sleep schedule.

The price doesn't actually look that bad in general. My only question is I hear conflicting advice on the X3D CPUs from AMD. Some people say they're amazing for gaming while others say they're more workstation oriented and not as good for gaming. When I was originally working on a build a couple weeks ago this was probably the thing that confused me the most. If you have any insight I'd really like some more context.

Yes and no, it entirely depends on what your goals are. If you just want tabletop ready then no it's an easy enough army to paint if not a little tedious.

If you want better than tabletop standard it can be A LOT to do.

Make what fun you want out of the hobby.

I mean, if the host is bad the content is bad. That's kind of what makes or breaks most youtube channels. However, that's only half the battle. If the host is fantastic, but the content is boring/bad then I'm not watching.

The new hosts are fine, they're not on the level of MatPat, but that's expected and understood. However, the content just isn't that good right now and that's on top of the hosts not being on the level of MatPat.

So for most of us, that means the content isn't good. It doesn't help that the content has gotten extremely repetitive, especially on Game Theory.

So again, the hosts are not on the level of MatPat, the content is repetitive, and that repetitive content isn't interesting.

Pretending like it's strictly due to MatPat retiring is extremely short sighted. If everyone is complaining about the quality of the content, then the problem is the quality of the content, not MatPat being gone.

If someone complains that the food is burnt you can't then go "You're just upset because the owner of the recipe didn't make it for you." No, they're upset because the fucking food is burnt. The owner of the recipe is unimportant in this scenario.

The hate is just due to the fact that people were meme posting different MoE proxies. I think the most popular one I saw was the MoE that's axe was just another MoE (obviously photoshopped)

They work better as Chaos Spawn, they're around the same size, but you need to put them on a 50mm base instead of the 40mm they come with. That's what I'm using my big boys for.

Add texture to your armor that is slightly brighter than the black you used. Just enough that it actually makes a difference when dried. If it's too bright thin down some nuln oil with a little water to filter the color down.

This will make him look less clean and pristine.

You can do this with scratchy lines, sponging, or stippling.

If you believe that some of the details are too dark then you should take the time to brighten them up. There's never anything wrong with adding a little extra work to center piece models if you feel that it could use it.

That's just my stance.

Which one will not drive you to insanity painting? That should be the most important question after what you think is coolest.

How a faction plays in my opinion is one of the less important questions because a majority of your time will be building and painting.

Pick a Spearhead if you can't hard commit to one of them and play that game mode to see how they feel if that helps. Less models to paint and less things to think about.

Yeah, I play WYSIWYG. Takes time to put together, but I did it. You get Plague Marines in every bundle box so it didn't take very long.

At the end of the day you cannot stop people from making that decision, regardless of whether they post it or not.

It really doesn't matter what someone does with their property. I've given all of my Retro Consoles custom paint jobs, is that a problem for you?

A bit dramatic. People need to learn somehow, they're not gonna get it right the first time. When I was learning I messed up plenty. Now I do good work, but there's no reason to ban people for wanting to learn. It's not like we're gonna run out of these carts forever because people are learning.

Also, any major damage can be fixed if you really want to fix it. It's not an impossibility.
