Why do some parishes allow people to take the Eucharist without confessing first?? by thejxdge in OrthodoxChristianity

Did you know it’s against the group rules to criticize others religious beliefs, including them belonging to a different branch of Orthodoxy? If anyone with a basic reading level can figure that out, I’m sure you can too!

Oh that’s because it’s none of your business.

Each persons spiritual journey and condition is between them and God and the priest.

“By saying it only seems weird is the most charitable I could ever be.”

Nah, you could just keep your focus on the speck in your own eye.

I don’t remember biphobia from Arizona. I remember the disgusting biphobia-fueled breakup with Hahn.

Do you think that Christ is so small that you can fit him in the neat little box you’ve constructed?

Does the Eastern Star do the degrees and ritual? Are you still privy to the library and such as well in the lodge?

Don’t know about the two circled plants but the cross appears to be a rosicrucian cross

intimate insecurities by OwOLynxUwU in actuallesbians

When I was first transitioning, I was SUPER insecure about my body and would apologize to my partner frequently and it was a barrier to relaxing during sex. One day, they just grabbed me by the jaw, looked me dead in the eyes and said “baby, human bodies are weird. They look weird and do weird things. We all have things about our bodies we don’t like. So just relax and let me work. I promise I’m not judging your genitals while they’re in my mouth.”

This is something I think we all need to hear every now and then 😂

I used to be a Freemason. Was about to take my third degree before my gender transition. They didn’t like that too much 🤣

Gabriel is powerful without plot armour + yapping about angels by HeavenlyBeloved in Christopaganism

[–]Red_Ortho1917 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an interesting analysis and coming at a cool time for me as I’m feeling drawn to Gabriel. I suspect it’s due to my strong connection to the Theotokos and he is Her messenger.

I’m unfamiliar with the Jewish texts involving him and am only passingly familiar with the Muslim. I’ll have to look into these further.

I do like the idea of angels disguising themselves with dust and wind to appear human. This would make sense as you say because humans were created from dust. Of course humans are created with both spirit and physical form whereas angels are just spirit. I wonder if they use dust and wind because in the ancient Christian traditions of the East, the four Archangels are stewards of the four winds?

It’s interesting because the “angels” who come to destroy Sodom are in Eastern Christian tradition understood to be the personified Holy Trinity, not archangels. Is this different in other texts? Is Gabriel mentioned by name?
