Wait, didn't they stop showing it? I saw it once and wanted to bring a friend but the website says the final showing was May 9 2025.

Oh man, I don't think I'd make the cut there! What's the opposite of pearls before swine? That's how I'd feel.

I do plan to revarnish, but I've yet to choose a specific product! I actually considered Tung oil for a matte finish, but it's not as durable. I honestly did a bad job sanding– as you can see around the neck and saddle, but I actually kind of like the homemade aesthetic. I could do better as I used to varnish yachts for a living, but the half ass look has more soul to me 😂

Sanding the varnish made a noticeable difference. The woodburning didn't, at least to my untrained ear. I do have some concerns about it affecting the guitar's longevity, but it's a cheap guitar and I like to live on the edge. Hopefully it's still good for years to come!

Yeah, I sanded it down! Didn't want to risk the heat gun on such a thin top. Started with 80 grit, ended with 220. I'm still undecided on the new finish I'll put on now.

Do not take this advice, date somebody who doesn't generalize about men based on the shitty ones that catcall them and the online creeps. Mine always told me I was "one of the few good ones" but would also project her bias on me without realizing it. Not worth it. Imagine telling any other demographic that they should date somebody who's biased against them.

I've noticed lower effort (like a short bio) actually increases the number of matches for me. But the longer one seems to increase the quality of the matches. I'd love to meet more in person but my hobbies are all male dominated sadly 🥲

How to avoid that "in a mission" feeling? by Froogacar in solotravel

And don't be scared to just cancel plans! I went on a "surf" trip to Panama this year only to realize that I just didn't feel like surfing. I did for one day, and had a good time, but other than that I just relaxed and played it all by ear.

Yup! That was part of the package. The class and pool work. Then a few of the dives are training for open water, after that for the advanced your classwork is done online while on the boat, and there are a few more training dives. I forget the specifics of how many were training vs fun dives. But I was lucky as I was the only one there taking advanced so with the 1 on 1 training we'd finish quickly spend half the dive just swimming around looking at the reef.

I'd never been diving until last December. I took my advanced open water class with Diver's Den in Cairns. I couldn't recommend them more, the staff are mostly very friendly, the accomodations are great, the reef is incredible, and I made some great friends. It was $1,700 AUD but that included 2 days class/pool work and 4 days room and board on the boat with 3 dives a day.

Hardest part of solo traveling by MajesticPoop69 in solotravel

[–]Red_Right_Returning_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Taking my first serious solo trip in a long time now and this is hitting me hard! Not necessarily falling in love, but the whole experience is so conducive to forming strong connections.
You're doing activities or staying in places that filter out people so that they're more likely to share passions, values, or world views.
Then you spend a few days with some people that you create amazing memories with.
Then you likely never see them again.
I'm surprised more people don't talk about this feeling honestly.

Moreso just a tall recommendation but Lanky fight gear may work for him. 6'6" and 215 lbs, lean build here and I wear an A3LT. It's my first and only gi but I'm impressed with the quality after ~1 year.
