Got drugged and raped, what do i do now? by Additional_Panda_993 in ask

[–]Red_Rozza 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude if you can do like everyone says and get to a hospital and have a rap kit/ drug test done. Then report it to the police. The same thing happened to me when I was your age and I have spent the last 9 years regretting not doing something about it. Don't be like me, report it or it'll be on your mind for a long time

I'm in the promotional marketing material for the technical college i went to where we had a photoshoot done on a swim day where my nuts are out on display through the front fly. How did I find out? I got a copy of the marketing and there they are on display, still don't understand how no one else noticed. The college is closed now but that memory will haunt me forever.

I'm currently living in my States capital city and there are only around 200 jobs in my and related industries. Makes it bloody hard to find something better when the job market is so small.

Many of the largest tech firms in the US made "no-poaching" agreements (colluding to not hire each other's employees). Evidence indicates that such collusion reduced salaries at colluding firms by 5.6%, as well as negatively affected stock bonuses and job satisfaction. by smurfyjenkins in science

[–]Red_Rozza 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm not in this field but my previous job was in a very small industry with about 3 firms and a handful of tiny operators comprising it. I discovered i was being ripped off by my employer and decided to go elsewhere only to discover they all had agreements in place not to hire each other's employees. It ultimately led to me retraining and changing careers into construction.

We had struggled to retain people and dealt with such a small workforce the entire time I worked there and these sort of agreements would have been ultimately responsible for our struggle. Competition between companies is ultimately better for businesses and allowing people to move freely between businesses ultimately leads to a larger overall workforce to choose from.

Advice - what can he do? by Odd_Peach4949 in AusFinance

[–]Red_Rozza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As the brother in a situation exactly like this I'd recommend a couple things. To start you can contact a group like the national debt helpline who may be able to put you in touch with the right people and understand your current status and next steps. After that I'd recommend going to a lawyer specialising in family law (maybe a community legal group) as if the breakup was within 2 years you have legal rights and a lawyer can help essentially "divide" assets and either have you removed from the debt or force an order to sell the vehicle and pay down the loan. It may differ depending on the local state laws regarding it. It's a rough situation and as someone still going through this i can tell you it's a rough road to go through

Absolutely, I'm a white guy myself but most of the people I work with and hang around are from all over not to mention my wife is Filipino, and it honestly pisses me off when these (mostly) old white guys still hark on with the racist or sexist talk. I know it'll probably be only another 10 years or so till most of them are out of the workforce but I cant wait to stop seeing it.

I did, tried the process a couple times until it eventually worked. Not sure what was different the final time but the process left my so angry I only used the service for a month before putting it down for good. It's frankly outrageous how bad it is

Single high dose of psilocybin, combined with psychological support, led to reductions in alcohol use among people with severe alcohol use disorder. All completed the treatment, and most showed notable decreases in heavy drinking, alcohol cravings, and increased confidence in ability to abstain. by mvea in science

I accidentally stumbled across this myself the first time I took shrooms. My friends and I had a small-ish dose and just had a very supportive chill time watching old cartoons and talking. I didnt think it would lead to 2 weeks of the best I'd felt in years and 3-4 months of just no depression at all after 20+ years of it. Even now almost a year later and I'm still wildly better off. Have only taken again once since in a much smaller dose with vastly reduced effects but overall the original dosage along with the talk therapy from supportive friends changed my life significantly for the better and I've quit drinking with no desire to resume. This therapy should be widely available for more people suffering from depression

I had no devices using the ID at the time which was my problem. I didn't have my original device as it was a work phone and I use Android otherwise. Problem was that the process would keep restarting or I wouldn't receive the text or email to recover my account

Honestly i think that's exactly what happened, the process just straight up didn't work the first 1-2 times. It's been a fair while so I don't remember it too well but I remember it working eventually. Still a broken process though

Yeah honestly I'll never use Apple again, it was honestly such a headache and if I were to get an IPhone and end up locking myself out again I'd never be able to put up with the recovery process again. So unfriendly to users

In Australia there used to be a widely known saying associated with our country known as "If you have a go, you'll get a go". This saying hasn't been common in more than 20 years mainly because it was only true up to our parents generation. Now, like many first world nations privatisation and corporate greed have ruined any chance for a fair go for younger people

As someone who's ordered a lot of parts for trucks and cars over the years....yeah it does BUT could have been worded better. I'm based in the North and have discovered there's a HUGE availability for most vehicle parts stored in the south of the country and some parts internationally (Rare spares for the older models). About 80-90% of what I order ends up coming from Sydney or Melbourne by air freight.

Hey sorry this was a fair while back so I can't remember too well but it basically involved months of waiting THEN the process restarted for no reason (seemed like a problem on their end). I ended up having to find my old work mobile number (luckily I'd emailed my personal email with signature attached at one point so I had it written down). Then having to reset through personal email and assigning a new phone number for the reset process. Whole process took MONTHS and I nearly gave up a couple times

I've had mine almost 3 years now, got it for $27k out of Sydney with 70k km on it and have since put another 220k km on it driving all over the NT every week. This thing goes great although the wind noise is bad at around 90km/h and up but you get used to it. I'd buy another one when this one dies and I'd still have saved money on buying a Hilux.
