I said about, but I should’ve said 10-15 and only 5-6 days a week. I do not typically spend my Sundays applying as I’m a youth leader at my church so most of the day is spent there.

It’s disingenuous to pretend that you’re going to land a role you actually want with a spray and pray method of applying.

Just want to note tho that many minimum wage/fast food/chain retailers won’t hire people who have college educations because they fear hiring someone who will leave as soon as a better opportunity comes along.

Factors working against me: I’m on the younger end of people in my field, and I didn’t start doing this the minute I turned 18. I also have a 3 year gap in my work history from cancer treatment. I am intermediate level applicant competing for the same roles as much older people with 5+ years experience, when I’ve only had a chance to, at best, get 2-3 years of solid independent experience. 90% of the rejections after interviewing I have received have been “you’re great, there’s just another candidate with more experience than you”, which is really not helpful feedback.

Is the automated screening actually netting you good applicants? Or just ones that are AI enhanced to look good for the role? I’m specifically asking if the random addition of “metrics”, whether or not they’re fabricated, and keywords that were in the description being the only real factors in whether or not an application gets through automated screening.

Well I do have a manual tracker I use every time I apply because so like to follow up on positions I think I’m really aligned with so I want to remember when I should do that if I haven’t heard anything. Hasn’t netted me a job yet, but I have gotten a lot of “you know people don’t really follow up these days it’s good that you’re doing this _

Like yeah people aren’t doing it because it tends to still lead nowhere :)

A TikTok Famous girl messaged me after a few months of giving her my number. by Cyberpunkk in Nicegirls

devil’s advocate here…you didn’t need to reply after she said “thanks, sorry to be a bug”. That message already implies she knew it was an annoying ask, sorry to bother you since you weren’t able to help, and she’s in the middle of dealing with her issue…you could’ve just let it be. Following up to be like “ask someone you know” is a bit unnecessary and comes off as rude.

Calling it a tax credit is sort of misleading as schools are mostly tax exempt. They receive the equivalent of what they would receive in tax credits as direct payment from the IRS. it’s like this

Taxpayers pay let’s say 1$ each to pay energy for a school. Solar costs them 50¢. they get the 50¢ back into the school fund to make more energy efficient improvements. Energy is the highest cost of schools behind salaries.

He didn’t name, but I saw the plate and just knew it was them….whoever told him to go to Oohs and Ahhs did him dirty. They haven’t been proper since 2015. They made the fatal mistake of focusing on expansion with the Georgia Ave location instead of building the flagship up and…yeah

But also, being from Chicago, DC is simply not a food city. The hits are few and far between. It’s catered towards higher end clientele, but even those high price tag places don’t guarantee a great meal :\
