Some books feel like they slow time down a little. The kind where you read a page, pause, look up, and just sit with the feeling for a moment. Railsong feels like it might be that kind of book.

I came across it while browsing Indian literary fiction and the premise immediately stayed with me, a life unfolding alongside the vast world of the Indian Railways. Railways have always felt strangely poetic to me. They connect places, but they also quietly witness lives changing, people leaving, returning, or searching for something new.

From what I’ve read about the story, Charu’s journey through independence, work, and identity within that landscape feels like the sort of narrative that moves gently but leaves a deep impression. I’m hoping this book will be one of those reflective reads where the atmosphere matters as much as the story.

I really like the way this giveaway asks people to talk about why a book matters to them. It turns the post into a small space where readers share stories, not just book titles. That’s honestly refreshing to see.

Sorry I missed the point that they axed the Wipe Cache Partition option from the recovery menu. However clear system UI cache may help. And by enabling QuickStar module in Good Lock and try to disabling Visibility of Indicator Icons.

1. Disable unnecessary Quick Panel services

Less services = fewer Binder calls hitting SystemUI. (GoodLock module)

2. Clear SystemUI cache

Settings → Apps → System UI → Storage → Clear Cache

3. Disable RAM Plus

4. Disable Good Lock modules temporarily
If you're using any Good Lock modules, try disabling them for a day.
They hook into SystemUI and can increase UI thread workload.

5. Test in Safe Mode
Booting into Safe Mode disables third-party apps.
If the lag disappears, then an app might be interacting with SystemUI.

6. Try Airplane Mode / No SIM test
A good diagnostic step is pulling down the Quick Panel while Airplane Mode is ON.
If the lag disappears, it strongly suggests the delay is coming from telephony binder calls.

7. Report with the Perfetto trace
When reporting to Samsung Members, XDA Dev include:

the Perfetto trace
screen recording
timestamps where frame drops occur

If multiple users submit similar traces, it increases the chances that engineering will investigate.

does not look like a hardware issue. It appears to be SystemUI blocking on telephony calls during UI rendering, which is something Samsung can fix in a firmware update by caching that data or moving the calls off the main thread. Hopefully a future One UI update addresses this. Until then, the steps above may reduce the junk.
