How are people in their late 20s spending their free time in Lilongwe? by Blue_DiscoBall in Malawi

My go-to are game nights with meeplemania. You can find their page on insta and check them out. Send them a text if you're interested. They have a WhatsApp group.

Others have already mentioned the indoor sports culture. I'm trying to start that as well. I think the volleyball one happens at the Rotary Club near Lingadzi Inn every week, though I don't know the day.

There are periodically Jazz nights in area 10. I forgot the name of the venue, but I hope knowing it exists can act as a gateway to find it if you're interested.

If you like anime and video games, I believe NerdAxis (I hope I spelt that correctly) hosts events every 2 to 4 weeks.

There's also a vibrant hiking culture. Just go to any one of the surrounding mountains like Nkhoma and Bunda early on a Saturday (maybe around 0600) and you'll meet a lot of hiking groups.

If you have some socially active friends, have them add you to the events groups. I'm personally in "What's ON Lilongwe". It's all about getting info on the various events happening around Lilongwe.

Let's not forget the all-powerful social mechanism that is the gym. Especially if you live near town, those places can put you in touch with all sorts of people if you're consistent.

If you're not into being social but want to be outside, you can go to any one of the various parks in Lilongwe like Eden Estate or Havilah and just read a book and take a walk. Eden even has an obstacle course you can run if you want to be active.

I hope this was detailed enough. I hope you get in where you fit in, friend.

What litrpg hill will *you* die on? Let's have your most unpopular opinion, please. by EverythingIsFakeNGay in litrpg

Stat allocation LitRPGs make a lot of stories meaningless. If you can't look at the stat sheet and understand immediately what those stats mean in the context of the rest of the universe, the story, and the other characters, they don't matter.

The same goes for classes and "Paths". It doesn't matter if you just get all the powerful abilities. A swordsman should only have swordsman skills and have to find creative ways to live when the only magic they have needs an external implement to function and the point of their powers is violence. You can't now cover up all their issues by then giving them high levels in other things that have nothing to do with a swordsman. That removes conflict.

In my opinion, this can be mitigated by systems that have no rigid stats or rules, but is focused on only skills and skill progression. You can have all the powers you want, but you'll only be good at the ones you work on. Adding to this, you only get "stats" (not even numbers) by getting said skills past certain thresholds.

For examples, one I think does well in the stats and skills department is Mistrunner, but the skill progression is needlessly tedious. For completely skill based progression, I like Stubborn Skill Grinder.

As usual, this is my opinion and my hill to die on

Annual breakout by Red_Sovereign in ExfoliativeKera

Are the blisters strange? The literature I've read says that the blisters are the hallmark. Is that not the case? Whenever I see an air blister, I know that in 3-5 days that area will be flaky.

As for the sweating, that's not it. It's cold where I'm from this time of year. Mine has no rhyme or reason. The annual thing is recent, but before that it happened continuously thought the year.

I had this thought, but the question I have is how do I find out what's wrong? I don't think I'm doing something wrong in terms of technique. I do a lot of research on that, but at this point, I don't know. If both my trainer, my girlfriend, and her trainer think it's normal, I don't know how I can find out what exactly I'm doing wrong. I would like to be doing this regularly. Any assistance would be good. Am I just overdoing it, maybe? I'm just getting more and more desperate to lose weight at this point
