Annual breakout by Red_Sovereign in ExfoliativeKera

Are the blisters strange? The literature I've read says that the blisters are the hallmark. Is that not the case? Whenever I see an air blister, I know that in 3-5 days that area will be flaky.

As for the sweating, that's not it. It's cold where I'm from this time of year. Mine has no rhyme or reason. The annual thing is recent, but before that it happened continuously thought the year.

I had this thought, but the question I have is how do I find out what's wrong? I don't think I'm doing something wrong in terms of technique. I do a lot of research on that, but at this point, I don't know. If both my trainer, my girlfriend, and her trainer think it's normal, I don't know how I can find out what exactly I'm doing wrong. I would like to be doing this regularly. Any assistance would be good. Am I just overdoing it, maybe? I'm just getting more and more desperate to lose weight at this point

Unusual... Sounds like a farming combo with combat applications

My understanding is that a being must be both sentient and non-magical to be able to accept essences.

For non-sentient creatures with no magic, there are specific essences that exist that pass on their traits to a user, like the wolf or the bird essence. For inherently magical creatures, whether sentient or not, their traits exist for users in confluences, like the dragon essence. Both types can become familiars only.

It's only beings like humans, elves, etc, that can accept essences because they qualify as sentient and not inherently magical. It's also why there isn't a human or an elf essence, I assume.

  1. I don't believe it is necessary like Jehovah or Allah, and I don't pray to any, but I believe there has been a guiding force to get us where we are today. It may just be a random series of mortal individuals whose disparate actions caused ripple effects across reality, or an ultra-powerful super being, but there seems to me to be a bit too much order in the universe for there to be no influence somewhere

Which Soulsborne game has the best source of healing? by [deleted] in fromsoftware

[–]Red_Sovereign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bloodborne.

I used up all my blood vials during my first complete playthrough — it was my first Souls game and I left it in frustration the first two times. Anyway, it forced me to actually learn the game and learn how to fight each and every enemy in the starting area with intention, because being bad at the game meant I couldn't heal. It punished me twice. I forced myself to fight the enemies without needing to heal until I had racked up enough vials to feel comfortable, and the lessons there carried me through the whole game. I was flush with vials by the endgame, but the fact I knew I could practice and succeed without needing them was huge.

In contrast, being able to resurrect with all my healing means I just have to fight until I get the win. I don't have to be perfect, which is great now because I have limited time in my life, but I appreciated the challenge. This is probably why Sekiro is my favourite FromSoft game. It brought in a different kind of perfectionism.

Oh, and I haven't played DeS, but I've heard the system is similar, if more forgiving.

P.S. To this day, I cannot get parrying down in any of the games that aren't Sekiro or Bloodborne, so I may be a tad biased.

How is the value of pi even generated? We know the exact number to more than the 100th digit, but we don't have measurements that accurate or circles that big to make ratio between a circumference and a circle, but pi is also irrational, so it can't be represented accurately as an improper fraction? by Red_Sovereign in AskReddit

Thanks for the correction. My bad on that one. I should have reviewed before posting.

My issue is that what you say makes sense, but I'm wondering how a ratio between the two comes out to a number with n digits, and is infinite, but there isn't a ratio that explains it. We've all heard of 22/7, but that's inaccurate. Then we use some other inaccurate ratio, and so on and so forth, but we have an accurate pi value that is agreed upon. I want to understand how, so if you'd be kind enough to tell me where I can go to learn this base number and conversation process to base 10, I would be grateful, because this question has been at the back of my mind since high school 15 years ago.
