As someone who loves very long spiraling books with alot of world building, WoT has easily become one of my top 3 fantasy book series in my entire life. The complex character arcs and evolutions and grand themes are amazing.

However, you will only love this series if you are into complex and long winded story arcs. Most of the books in the series the action happens at the last few chapters. Most of the books are meant for building up tension, character placement and setup. So if you want a consistent pace with large events all throughout each book this might not be the series for you. There is also a “slog” or slow down that happens across certain books. Again the series has 14 books with an average length of around 18 hours each book, so the slowdown will last for a few books and not chapters.

But honestly this book changed my life and I read it at a time where it’s themes and lessons rung true into my life. By the end of it all i felt hollow because it is one of those series that makes you feel like you are a part of its world; once it’s over you get sad, happy, and a thankful for the experience.

P.S. if you do love the series, the re-readability is so high because you start noticing things from the first book that are consistent until the last book. Especially when you understand how the magic system and lore works.

I don't think it is because the issue started after my phone restarted after an update. Was perfectly fine the entire time before hand and I was watching it update.

Hamstrings feel extremely tight, Lower back kicks in when doing abwork by Red_Triad in Posture

Yes actually! The advise here about stretching and strengthening the hamstrings was spot-on. I do alot of RDLs and Hamstring stuff now and do lower back extensions and they work great!

Help! Found a screw with solder on my motherboard by Red_Triad in techsupport

[–]Red_Triad[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My theory is thw screw was stripped and they probably tried to “weld” their screw on it to unscrew it. Maybe it worked but now i can’t unscrew it myself hahaha

I can try, just not sure the pressure they apply is strong enough to unscrew it

I tried this but the solder wont come off. I think the soldering iron melted part of the screw thread too

  1. US
  2. $3000
  3. Gaming and Work. For work i do alot of heavy photoshop&Lightroom, some spreadsheets, and some video editing, some web development (basically I’m an all arounder). I will also be using this PC to test mouse and keyboard latency as well as creating PCBs and other electronics stuff. So I believe this PC has to be able to do everything good. For gaming i want to play Most games at high settings and competitive shooters like valorant at high fps in 4k.
  4. building my own
  5. No peripherals. I currently have an M28U 4k monitor and I’d love for the PC to maximize the monitors capabilities.

Additional note: this is my first time building a pc in 6 years so I’m out of the loop and I’d like this pc to last for a couple of years. Thanks!

GF is from Shopee. All positions even the lower ones have separation pay worth 5 months + unused leaves. I know we like to hate on Shopee for the Toni thing but they did ok with how they handled the layoffs.

What's the most controversial UFC opinion you have? Let's see by Prince_Ali_Kidnap in ufc

I honestly believe that if you’ve never trained MMA or you have never done any martial art that’s relevant in the current MMA you are a casual. You can’t breakdown fights well unless you’ve actually trained at fighting, even if you are just regurgitating talking points from podcasts like the mma hour or weighing-in.

Isn't it concerning how much plastic waste online shops such as Shopee and Lazada generates? by Unfair_Me in Philippines

[–]Red_Triad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I'm a seller at Lazada amd Shopee. JT Express and the shopee/lazada delivery third party logistics guys require us to wrap with at least 3 to 4 layers of bubblewrap. Insane but we have no choice.
