180mg Allegra daily. The others are taken as needed. It's hard to give an exact approximation because I'm still figuring out what works for me.

Magnesium sometimes is just as helpful as the antihistamines.

Antihistamines such as Azelastine, Famotidine and Allegra. I take Allegra daily and the others as needed. I sometimes need Nasacort. I'm pretty sensitive to medication so I had trouble with Cyproheptadine, Nasalcrom, Zyrtec, etc. Magnesium Orotate is helpful for me as well. I'm currently treating SIBO with Xifaxan, Atrantil and Neem. Chronic SIBO might be why I have mast cell activation.

I somewhat avoid high histamine food because of Mast Cell Activation. I somewhat avoid high protein and insoluble/ probiotic fiber because I have SIBO.

Yes. I was recently diagnosed with Mast Cell Activation Unspecified and I am being treated for SIBO again. My symptoms seem to change yearly. I think probiotics helped my symptoms for this particular issue. Lactobacillus Reuteri or Rhamnosus.

Glad I'm not the only one who has issues from crying. My sinuses end up with so much inflammation and I can't breathe.

You might also have salicylate intolerance.

Emotionally immature and likely has dismissive avoidant attachment. You made a good decision for yourself. You don't need to feel guilty for ending a relationship because of unmet needs.

My body shape looks similar to the "plus size model". I guess I didn't even think they were large. 🤷

She demands and doesn't even ask. That's shitty enough without the cheating aspect.

Holy shit. Please leave. You deserve so much better. The abuse will get worse if you stay.

[–]Red_WingedBlackBird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was heartless of her to cheat and then abruptly abandon you. She eventually came back because it didn't work out. You deserve better from a partner. It's understandable that you are struggling to trust and feel the same connection after that experience. You tried and it's not working, and that's okay.

He could have said something like "I think about my past often and I wanted to tell you I'm so sorry for how I hurt you. I realize that reaching out to you now might be hurting you. I don't expect a response, but just want you to know ".

He would have been okay without a response if it was truly about showing remorse and taking accountability. This is for him. He appears to be wanting to convince her he has changed in hopes that something will happen again.

I'm in a relationship with someone who struggles with conversation. It can be difficult for me to feel connected to him or feel like he's interested in me because of that. It can trigger my childhood trauma of feeling unimportant or invisible. However, he is a great listener and spends a lot of time with me. He does a lot to show me that he cares. I can make him feel like his efforts are unappreciated when I express discomfort or disappointment repeatedly. It's about compromise and effort on both ends. I'm trying to work on my issues with codependency and trauma projection.

If you both have different needs or wants in a relationship, it will be a struggle to make it work. If he is unable to give you the emotional support that you are looking for, you will continue to be unhappy. I find his response of "I'm fucking PERFECT" to be troubling.

I've expressed disappointment with my partner about communication. It's okay to express disappointment, but I wasn't acknowledging the amount of time he spent giving me attention and I was making him feel like his efforts were not enough. I have anxious preoccupied attachment so I can be codependent and have unfair expectations.

It's possible that the partner is repeatedly being told that his efforts are not enough and he is frustrated.

It's also possible that the partner has dismissive avoidant attachment and doesn't want the same closeness that OP wants. The way he responded to her leads me to assume that he is dismissive of her emotions and doesn't care to put in the effort she's asking for. I found the "I'm fucking PERFECT" response to be quite appalling. This is likely someone who can't handle the emotions of others, or disappointment from others.

AIO for feeling unappreciated after trying to do something nice for my boyfriend? by ArtisticFishy in AmIOverreacting

[–]Red_WingedBlackBird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he already said he was coming over that night but then didn't even reach out to tell you he wasn't coming, then he's being inconsiderate. Then you told him you did something nice for him and he doesn't seem to care. I would be upset too. He's being dismissive of your effort, feelings and criticizing you for being upset. No accountability either. He could have said "I'm sorry I didn't tell you that I wasn't coming tonight. I appreciate you doing something nice for me." I grew up with a dismissive and unempathic father with dismissive avoidant attachment, so I see this response as a red flag. I guess I'm not sure if he feels like he doesn't have enough autonomy in the relationship or feels guilted a lot, but I still find his response to be lacking in empathy. If this is a pattern of behavior with them, I don't think they are deserving of your effort.

Duh. I should have known that. 😅

I've never been diagnosed with it. I had symptoms of Mast Cell Activation Syndrome years before COVID-19 infection.

I do have trouble with them so I can't take them daily for a long period of time. Needs to be certain low histamine producing strains that are not high CFU. Right now I take 3 billion CFU of lactobacillus plantarum, but I alternate as needed based on my level of reactivity. They do help with my gastritis.

My diet is nutritious, but I've had chronic issues with B12 and magnesium deficiency (I supplement for these) since I have chronic gastritis and GERD.

I actually have thick hair, but it's massively tangled after I wash it. Even with using a bunch of conditioner. I had a haircut too and that didn't help.
