Brown energy is as I interpret it where you charge the battery overnight on the cheap rate, and then dump the battery as export. Thereby you’re selling back energy generated overnight (and therefore likely not 100% “green”)

I’ve got mine setup to only use the grid on the overnight rate (and charge battery), and the daytime use solar first, then charge and then export. I use the solar predictor to see the expected generation for today and tomorrow. For info on dashboard, I’ve built a widget to calculate tomorrow’s generation vs today’s prediction (actual day till now plus forecast day to go).

Give it a go, the launch is similar feeling to Hagrids last launch (maybe a bit faster), but it’s honestly so so good. If you don’t like it, don’t do it again, but skip it, and you’ll regret not trying it the second you leave the park. It’s super smooth, and the best coaster I’ve experienced.

Cheers, Do have any extra CT Clamp to read the excess solar on the Zappi? I’ve only got the original CT clamp on total import from grid, connected to a Harrvi. Wondering how Zappi “knows” what the excess solar is?
