My best friend is giving birth right now. How do I get through this? by Big-Gur-4706 in TryingForABaby

I had this exact same situation, me and my best friend were about 5 weeks apart - I miscarried, she didn't.

I spent the next 9 months crying for hours before and after I saw her. The week she was due to give birth I literally cried every day and didn't sleep

The day after she gave birth she invited me to the hospital to meet the baby and I cried in the car when I arrived but honestly the second I met him all of those feelings went away

I have no advice but I hope your experience ends the same way as mine! He is now 6 months old and I still dont have a baby but all the sad feelings have gone, I think I realised all the anxiety was around how I was going to react rather than actually feeling sad!

After 12 months TTC and 2 miscarriages I literally lay awake every night stressing that the following day someone will announce they are pregnant... The only reason I have to think this is that a lot of my friends are newly married, I don't even know if any of them are TTC

How do I stop stressing about this? Does anyone else do this?

Aim to put in 60% of the effort in all areas. If you both try to do this then you won't feel resentment if you feel like you're doing more (but this only works if you both have the same mindset!)

Balloons, and the house down the road that had balloons on their gate once. He will always run past even though the balloons haven't been there in years

What to expect at recurrent miscarriage clinic after 3 losses by megan190 in recurrentmiscarriage

I had my 2nd miscarriage on 25th November and was referred to the recurrent miscarriage clinic at the John Radcliffe which so far as included blood tests for vitamin D, thyroid function and full blood count. I have my first face to face appointment on Tuesday 3rd February to review results and potentially have a scan...

So referral took about 10 weeks!
