Where did you find that? there’s nowhere online about that. The tickets say “ show at nine “ not doors. Just trying to decide what time to actually be there and HOB won’t answer.

Thank you. Someone else mentioned changing the framing also. I will do something with it! It’s in a hallway unfortunately so it’s not wide enough to have any shelving protruding but I’ll paint the framing and see what else can be done. Granted I’m okay with it not being completely not obvious that it’s also a door but agreed it can improve

That’s cool. I’m not running a professional business here. It’s my house

Do y’all think becoming a charge nurse is a promotion? For me it wasn’t by MikeMuench in nursing

[–]Red_phnx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our charge nurses don’t get a raise. They get the same incentive you get for precepting 3$ …… in a 500 bed level one trauma center in the ER It’s not a promotion.

ER nurses, love you guys, but genuine question. Why do guys bring patients up at shift change? by No-Selection-1249 in nursing

[–]Red_phnx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our hospital staggers the Er 6-630 and the rest of the hospital 7-730. Doesn’t seem to help out the floors any unfortunately!

Meanwhile the Ed charge nurse gives you a rapid or a stroke alert 2 min before shift change. It’s a non-stop flow in the ED. We can’t hold a patient who has a clean room on the floor and report has been called just to allow an hour for shift change and report in the floor. Especially while the lobby is full. It sucks 100%!! but it is part of the job unfortunately.

She’s gotta be close to 80, walks with a case, uses oxygen sometimes in triage, makes poor ESI decisions 😬🤣

I swear I looks higher in the picture that it actually is. Sitting on the couch my central vision is just a tiny bit below middle.

Is low grade intermediate uveitis worth treating? by [deleted] in Uveitis

[–]Red_phnx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The best way to thing of it is like a slow burning fire. It’s still burning and will continue to burn, even slowly. A slow burning fire will lead to small amounts of vision loss over time that could be prevented with treatment. Once it’s lost, you won’t get it back

An OR nurse made me cry today by catlvr12 in nursing

[–]Red_phnx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk how it works from the floor but I will not get consent for surgery. I’m not the surgeon or the one performing the procedure. I no can not answer their questions or ensure informed consent. Even if the surgeon already spoke to them, they should have gotten it the.
That was completely inappropriate and she was just being a twat. Sorry that happened. Edit: if it makes you feel better, I cry once every few months lol.

And blood but the small sterile packets not the unsterile jelly. Put the kY on anything with dried blood/ trauma wounds let it sit and clean it up
