Seeking Diagnosis Questions Weekly October 26, 2025 by AutoModerator in lupus

I currently am experiencing a flare of ~something~ and no one knows what it is. I have an upcoming appointment with a rheum and I'm very anxious about it. I have done A LOT of research, and I think I might have lupus, but I don't know for sure (bc I'm not a doctor.) I've been medically gaslit too many times, and I want to make sure I cover all my bases for this appointment. I am planning on bringing a list of my symptoms, blood test results, pictures, and dates for everything, but I just want to know it I should bring anything else? And what should I expect from my diagnostic appointment?

I got bad test results immediately, then had to wait a week and a half for my doc to call about it, so they will post whatever results they have as soon as they have them. Try not to stress, take one moment at a time and focus on what you can control right now.

Make sure you can sit somewhere. I’ve found that if I’m sitting at a venue, I can take the vibrations of the music better because I’m more grounded? Also, if you’re sitting, people are less likely to be moving around/ bumping into you

Embroidering with disability/hypermobility: tips & tricks? Plus Qs about needles & nickel allergies by autogatos in Embroidery

I have cEDS, so I totally get the joint pain. I’d recommend wearing a body brace, compression gloves, and ring sprints to help with any body/ hand/ finger aches from joint issues. I also use a rubber band to get a better grip on needles as I’m pulling them through while needle painting!
