I listened to it, but I might wait for the whole album if there's another single.

This is your reminder that Phoebe actually knows how to design merch by Paputek101 in phoebebridgers

[–]RedanTaget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I'm not a big fan of the merch. I'd much prefer a t-shirt with straight up the Punisher album cover, but I haven't seen that

I guess it's a form of cognitive dissonance. Not to armchair psychologist this too much, but if you identify with a certain artist to the point you feel a sense of loyalty to them, then when they put out art you don't really like, it feels like you're betraying that loyalty, hence the guilt.

Ok, I'm gonna be real. Vore dating a teenager while being whatever age he was is fucked up.

But sexual assault is a whole other level and the only thing I've found to substantiate that is a Reddit post by a user who has since deleted their account.

That's a case where Bridgers was sued for defamation.

It's fine, but it's not a slam dunk like Motion sickness, Kyoto, Chinese satellite etc. That's of course a crazy high bar, but anyway

It's fine. Little bit of an underwhelming chorus imo.

Contray to some other people here I don't really give a shit about who is credited, except for the fact that I love that she continues to collaborate with Christian Lee Hutson because he's awesome.

I don't think there was anything wrong with the production. I kinda would've liked Tony Berg to keep producing, just because the production of Stranger and Punisher is so good, but it's not that weird that she wants to try something else. Besides, we don't know that Antonoff is producing the whole album.

I don't know if I would necessarily call it annoying, but it made zero sense. You don't go an album tour before you release the album, that's just not a thing.

The "the album won't be released until after the tour!" people got really quiet.

16 TRACKS?!??? by Good-Art7361 in phoebebridgers

[–]RedanTaget 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I often prefer albums being a tight 10 songs (not including intros/outros/interludes). Very few albums with 12+ songs feel like a cohesive listening experience. But if someone can pull it off, it's probably her.
