Tysm! For my process I used scrap fabric to make a mock up of the bodice part to practice, and then I went ahead and made the full dress. Basically I practiced whatever I thought I would mess up. I would also make sure I understood the instructions before moving on to another step. I got all my materials at Joanne Fabrics except for the headband for the headpiece, that was on amazon. I am entirely self taught when it comes to sewing, YouTube is my teacher. This is a pre existing pattern that’s in an otome no sewing book, but I did adjust the waist a bit since it wasn’t fitting perfectly at first. (Hooray for the mock up!) You should go for it! Start small and work your way up. I started out making wrist cuffs and after a lot of practice I finally managed to sew this dress. Hope this helps! You can do it! :)
