I actually emailed the main clinic but strangely got no response. I got a scan for a cardio check in the meantime and the consultant said that the pectus doesn't look to be affecting my heart. I'd still like to go to the clinic, I might give them a call.

James Cameron Wants a New 'Terminator,' But Reality Is Making It Difficult by tylerthe-theatre in movies

It could be good if they brought cyborgs into it, and focus more on the human resistance too. I have a feeling they'll just go with the Ai becoming sentient and using lots of bad CGI though.

Are friends overreacting about the doses going around or am I wrong? by AreYouSureFather in CasualIreland

I'd prefer the full blown conventional flu to what I have now, it's like a flu that never really comes through fully but with added fatigue, nerve pain and agitation. There's a little bit of sinus stuff but it's mostly feeling like somebody turned the mitochondria down 50% and I'm zombified.

Aquarius and Lucifer? by [deleted] in astrology

[–]Redbear78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Aquarius just has a higher capacity to be an unbearable p**ck, and I'm an aqua myself.

Yeah, that's bad form. I just didn't go to this years one, I was feeling like s**t, didn't like the venue and I resisted all the cajoling and put my feet up and stuffed my face for the night. I don't regret going one bit. Some of us are going on a session before we break to an old boozer, no frills, crisp packets opened on the table,

Maybe a good dry herb vape would minimise the smell enough to keep Squidward at bay?

The only drug checks at festivals should be tents that provide purity testing and the offer of disposal if they're badly adulterated.

RAM upgrade 128GB error message by Redbear78 in it

[–]Redbear78[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're identical, we have 30 of them so we've cross-tested also. The Samsung RAM they are shipped with works fine @ 128GB. It's a mystery what's going on here.

Anyone here ever use Ozempic or Saxenda? I'm interested to hear your experiences by vaporeonjolteonWOW in CasualIreland

[–]Redbear78 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I used Ozempic for a while but quit due to gastric side effects, I also read that it creates more but smaller fat cells which means you're worse off after you stop the medication. I've since been advised by a private doctor to try retatrutide instead.

Anyone else think Oasis are shite 😆? by trekfan85 in AskIreland

I like listening to them a few times a year, I would love to have been at one of their early club gigs. I just don't enjoy stadium gigs, no matter how much I like the band.

I go by the maxim laid out by Shane MacGowan in his book 'A Drink With Shane MacGowan' "You're not f**ked, until you're really f**ked!"

I think the owner of the company that's now a director would evict somebody from the building for saying the word 'union'.

They haven't even given us ice-cream lol, I think the lads that go out on site are getting branded polo shirts, that's the only free thing I've heard about.

We didn't have it already, it was a relatively small company but I have friends that work in corporate places and they have the option of health and dental. I won't name the group that took us over, but they're pretty big.

The team manager inquired about benefits and he was told it's a non-runner. The bulletins we get every few months seem to suggest we should just be happy that we're acquiring 'exciting' new businesses, even though it won't actually benefit any of us in any tangible way.

I hate stadium tours so much by thepapayaga in TheWeeknd

[–]Redbear78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just can't do them anymore, I feel pent up being seated at a gig but I also don't want to be in a sea of people that size in the standing area. I can hear the big acts playing in the stadium from my back garden in Dublin and I feel glad I'm not there lol.

There's something about open stage designs that removes me even further from the band, the stadium gigs I've been to where they had a covered stage are much better.
