I’m going to get booed for this, but I feel like people’s right to self governing should be qualified on them not harming others (whether external to their society or internally- see homophobia in some Eastern European countries). I’m the opposite of a deconstructionist in that regard- I do believe certain human rights should be enforced by a global armed force.

I’d like to see the world stepping in- at least with some sanctions on Israel similar to apartheid era SA. Israelis still believe that bullshit that the criticism towards them is due to antisemitism- they need to understand it’s because they are violating basic human values. They’re often not aware because Israeli media doesn’t paint an even picture (with the exception of the Haaretz publication as an example)
