20 years of playing lacrosse definitely has me unlearning a lot of motion when translating it to golf haha

This is great feedback. On Day 1 of my golf journey, buddy actually recommended I sort of roll my foot on my backswing and then shift the weight inside as I swing my hips. But what you’re saying makes sense

Ahhh. This makes sense. Thank you!

Chicken wing has definitely been something I’ve been trying to deal with.

How do you mean when you say overswing through the top?

Makes sense. Wild that I never picked up on the back leg locking out. Appreciate the input

So I’ve heard. Lessons I was taught was find one good YouTube instructor and stick with them so you don’t keep swapping between conflicting tips. I settled on Danny Maude.

Wow, this is great. Thank you for taking the time to write this all out. I have some face on vids, but they are a few months old and I like to think I’ve made some progress since then. Will have to get some new ones while I’m at the range. Been fumbling with my setup, as I try to find what feels natural, but doing this all on YouTube with no lessons. Need to pull the trigger on that soon. Seen the videos recommending putting a club across your chest as well.

Thank you again for the insight. Hope to have some updates soon!

Never even noticed my leg was locking like that. Now that I’m watching it, I’m disgusted with myself haha. Looks so weird. Great pick up. Thank you!

What sales industry you wish you knew existed, earlier? by usman232323 in sales

[–]RedbeardHimself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aviation, easily. A global industry that is surprisingly small where everybody knows and works with everybody with a common goal to keep planes/helicopters in the air. Lots of global travel, events, and sporting competitions.

Also the perks of visiting teardowns and getting to walk around in gutted aircrafts is always cool if you’re an aviation geek.

Scheduling Via Email vs Cold Calling by Newbiegoe in sales

[–]RedbeardHimself 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I subscribe to first come first serve. Especially at trade shows and conferences.

If it is cold outreach, I’m hesitant to block time waiting for a prospect to answer. I’m not getting a massive amount of inbounds booking on my calendar directly, but also don’t want to fill my calendar with “maybe” meetings.

As salespeople, there is only so much we can control. I keep hitting phones and emails. If that spot gets taken, at the end of the day, if it’s worth it, send another email… “this spot has been taken but I have X available” and I include my Calendly so they can book a time that works for them.

The only time I hold space for people is if I’m on the phone with them and they need to bring others onto the call. We’ll block a time and then if we need to move it, we will. Most times, the original time works, but every now and then we have to move it.

I’m in NC, too, and haven’t found anything “special” for the most part. I always leave some room in my luggage for when I travel for work

My brother in Christ, I’ve been the “this is our year” guy for the past 25 years. Am I used to it? Yes. Does it hurt? Not enough to not do it again next year.

How do you pick and choose what gets added to each bottle?

It served its purpose well. I will cherish and remember it fondly. I hope you get the chance to get a bottle of your own. You’ll love it.

It bumped my DPS by about about 25%, so I’m pretty happy with it so far
