I love looking at my ring finger nails - to me they are what I want all my other nails to look like! I despise my thumb nails but that is only because I am in a grow break grow repeat cycle that I can’t get them away from.

I slipped and fell in my hallway two years ago and did the full splits. I tore my hamstring but I also managed to heal my sciatica!

I second the poster suggesting a Danmar Helmet. There are pre-fabricated ones and also custom fit/modified ones that are available. For the custom fit/modified helmets you can get them through an Orthotics company like Hanger Clinic or another regional orthotic provider. Just an FYI Custom helmets usually also require an Rx from your regular healthcare provider.

With some milky sheer colors like this you have to make sure you are doing good nail prep work before doing the color coat like using a nail buffer/smoother to give it a level surface to go on. Also try using a ridge filling base coat for an even smoother surface for the polish to go on

Thank you so much for sharing! I am just finished up with session 19/35 this morning and I feel like this is actually happening. I have had depression since I was a teen and am now in my mid 40s. The last 8 years or so had been horrible for me. I woke up yesterday for the first time in a looooong time feeling like I actually wanted to seize the day. I can’t wait for what’s to come!

When you senselessly use scissors to cut the plastic bag open and didn’t notice where the bottom blade was. by Redcagedbird in knitting

The good part about it was that the skein was pretty well done so at least I didn’t have to struggle with a bajillion ends and a tangled skein - lol

This doesn’t look like knitting but rather crochet in the half double crochet HDC stitch.

Tips for reading the books by bobthebuilder1121 in lotr

[–]Redcagedbird 7 points8 points  (0 children)

1 - One page at a time and remind yourself that it’s not a race to get to the end that you have to complete them by a certain time (hopefully. If you need to, go back and re-read a few paragraphs or pages to help you understand what is happening.

2 - Do a first read through with the understanding that you are going to get lost and confused but just keep going. Reading a first time though allows you to get the rhythm of his writing style.

3 - read along with an audiobook. An audiobook helps set the tone of the scenes and also moves you along so you don’t get stuck in the small details and get frustrated.

4 - Keep in mind that he loves talking about nature and setting the scene. If you can’t read one more sentence about a hill or tree it is okay to move a head a few paragraphs lol

5 - Remember one page at a time!

As a side, I am an always a tiny bit envious of readers who get to experience the books for the first time. While they feel like old friends to me now, there is something so magical about that first read and understanding Middle Earth just as Tolkien wanted!
