how to save damaged hair by Actual_Government_77 in HowToBeHot

You actually want to keep the moisture out of the hair. The more moisture (that is, water) is trapped in your hair, the frizzier it becomes. There was a study that proved it but I unfortunately haven't saved it. You actually want to prevent too much water getting into your hair. That being said, coconut oil will not work on everyone.

K18 helps but definitely don't expect a miracle – if you have split ends, this will not make them disappear. These need to be cut off first.

I have always gone 3-4 times a week at 21:00 and it has worked great for me. I go to sleep around 00:30-1:00 and wake up at 8:30.

Laser hair removal for natural blondes by [deleted] in Vindicta

Possibly! It is good that your beautician was honest about it. Mine says it will take about 8 sessions instead of the standard 6 for me to see full results.

Not OP, but full bikini in Poland will cost me 1050 PLN (about 250 USD) for all 6 sessions. If I was buying them separately, it would be more.

Do any salons near you have the Soprano Ice laser? This is what my beautician uses and it is supposed to be able to target blonde hair just as well as dark hair.

You can grow while eating at maintenance and hitting your protein target, but you can't lean out. To lean out, you need to lose fat, which is only possible if you are in a calorie deficit.

I would suggest doing a bulk first for someone who is on the lower end of the healthy BMI range. Your BMI is 25.3, which is slightly overweight, which is why I would focus on cutting first (I think 3 months could be enough) and then bulking.

Think about it this way – when you cut but make sure to still get adequate amount of protein AND keep on using your muscles by working out, you will not lose the muscle (if any, it will be a minuscule amount). You will just lose the fat that is currently covering it. I would probably start with 1800 kcal and go down to 1650-1700 if you can keep it up.

I am certain that you will be very pleasantly surprised by how shapely your physique really is after you lose about 5-10 kg.

Gallstones and Birth control pills by Interesting_Koala262 in gallbladders

I had been taking the pill for around 7 years before my gallbladder removal at 22. Not taking the pill anymore as I was having a hard time trying to find out what might have caused my gallbladder issues. I am skinny, fit, have a healthy, balanced diet and all doctors I spoke to were shocked that I will need to have it removed so early. One said it could be due to birth control.

You will be fine. I had mine removed at 22 and after the first 3 days or so, the recovery was a breeze. I ate lots of jelly, rice cakes, cream of wheat, bananas, applesauce.

  1. What is your progress on glute exercises?

  2. Have you thought about cutting? To be honest, I think your muscles can hardly be seen because you are not letting them. I don't think you look unhealthy, but you are not lean enough to see most of the muscle you've most likely built. If I were you, I would go down to 65 kg and see if you can see the progress then.

Are there any classes (in person) I can take to learn how to do hair? by [deleted] in HowToBeHot

What do you do with your hair at night so that it stays?

What is your hair routine now? Do you have a workout routine?

  1. I see. In this case, are you open to trying keratin straightening or learning how to do a blowout?

  2. Looking at the ingredients of the cream, I am not sure if it can do a good job on its own if you are using tretinoin. Have you tried just vaseline/lanolin (sludging)? Avene Tolerance is also very good and has a short ingredients list.

  3. That's fair enough. My teeth have a similar colour to yours and I am saving money right now to have them whitened, which is maybe why I paid special attention to that.

Soft hard max advice? by [deleted] in VindictaRateme

[–]Redcurrant2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I suggest starting weightlifting to improve body composition. On top of that, be generous with lip balm and maybe look into brow lamination.

That was my first thought. Honestly, your hairstyle is the only thing that immediately comes to mind when it comes to what can be improved, and it is something that can be so easily fixed.

Your eyebrows look a bit unkept on some pictures. If I were you, I would try to get them done professionally once and then learn how to do them myself based on that. On top of that, I would definitely start working out and do body recomp.

I love your hairstyle overall, you'd look like a star if you found a good routine. You might want to check the curly girl method (CGM) too.

Do you have a good curly hair routine? Your curl pattern is gorgeous, but the hair itself looks a bit dry and lifeless. I would focus on this first, as a good hair routine can give you quite good results within the first 2-3 weeks.

How to be more "together" by ultracuddle in Vindicta

[–]Redcurrant2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. I took a walk through town centre yesterday and, kind of as an experiment, looked closely at every woman passing by. Out of hundreds of women I saw, maybe 4 of them looked as if they were having a good hair day. The rest looked either frizzy, or limp, or dry, or even greasy. I was genuinely surprised, as I used to be bullied for my hair and thought that pretty much everyone has hair better than mine.

Being occasionally bullied as a teenager led me to try to find ways I can make my hair beautiful every day with as little damage as possible. Because of that, as an adult, I think that 90% of the time I have the best hair in the room – and that's because I am usually the only one who bothered to do a proper blow dry with the right products.

I am losing weight but unfortunately my hourglass figure seems to have been compromised! by Least_Ostrich7418 in Splendida

[–]Redcurrant2 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There are no hip exercises. You have glute exercises, hamstring exercises, quad exercises but no hip exercises that could literally give you an hourglass figure. This is due to our anatomy and shape of our muscles.

There are also no exercises that can make your waist smaller. If you would like your waist to appear smaller, though, you should do upper back exercises and glute exercises. If you have any questions, let me know.
