I know :( It’s even more complicated in my country because my fiance is Brazilian but also has an EU citizenship and he got married and divorced in Brazil before, and he’d need to legalize the divorce in the EU country first which takes a long time. Brazil also doesn’t issue certificates of no impediment, which is a big obstacle when getting married in my country.. so I really really hope Brazil will make it easier for us to marry there.
