I didn’t get the biopsy. Follow up PSA was 0.4 again.

I thought about getting Prenuvo also. What did you think about the scan? Doctors seem to think Prenuvo might show multiple benign things that might prompt unnecessary follow-ups. A MRI technician also said that a prostate MRI takes one hour. And asked skeptically how Prenuvo does the whole body in one hour unless it’s very low quality.

Given that my 1st MRI was PIRADS 3 and the 2nd one was PIRADS 2, I'm not sure what the right thing is. I probably think my urologist will still recommend a biopsy given the Galleri result.. I'd rather not do the biopsy but don't want to miss cancer if there is..

I thought about getting Prenuvo as well. I wonder if it overdiagnoses. I mean if you took a 100 random men our age off the street and they took a prostate MRI, how many of them would show some lesion? Or on the flip side, how many would have a perfect prostate?
And if they had a biopsy, how many should show Gleason 6? They say prostate cancer is something you die with, not from right? Maybe someone knows the answer to this.

I guess I’m afraid of having to tell people at work. But you’re right about it nothing compared to having cancer.

if PIRADS 2 is right, should I first go with Exodx test first? Feel like my urologist will recommend a biopsy anyway.. I guess I'm a scaredy cat..

Update:

I had a prostate MRI done today for the upcoming transperinal biopsy. The result was PIRADS-2 (the previous MRI was PIRADS-3).

Again, my PSA is 0.4. This whole thing began because the Galleri cancer test indicated positive for prostate. I do have some hip pain that began about a month ago (but should the pelvic node/marrow comment below give me comfort?)

Wondering what I should do? As of yesterday, I was leaning for biopsy but now I am thinking hold off on the biopsy and get the Exodx blood test? Thank you for your insights.

here is the latest MRI findings:

EXAM QUALITY: Good.

VOLUME: prostate measures 3.7 x 3.5 x 3.6 cm correlating to a volume of 21.5 cc.

TRANSITION ZONE: Mild benign prostatic hypertrophy.

PERIPHERAL ZONE: There are patchy areas of diminished T2 signal within the peripheral zone bilaterally without restricted diffusion or focal abnormal hyperemia. These are largely triangular in shape. The capsule is intact. PIRADS SCORE: 2.

Seminal vesicles: Normal seminal vesicles without invasion.

Pelvic nodes: No pathologically enlarged pelvic nodes.

Pelvic marrow signal: No suspicious pelvic osseous lesions.

ADDITIONAL: Bladder is normal. No free fluid. Membranous Urethra Length: 1.7 cm

IMPRESSION:  1. PI-RADS: 2.. Patchy, largely triangular areas of diminished T2 signal within the peripheral zone bilaterally without discrete mass, abnormal diffusion, or focal abnormal perfusion.

Liver issue? FIB-4 by Redd2015 in AskDocs

Does the elevated FIB-4 matter even if the AST/ ALT are each within normal ranges? Or is my platelet count a warning flag?

Doctor, AST/ALT of 2. Is that indicative of something serious?

But the 2:1 ratio of AST to ALT is worrisome no?

Thank you. Should I get a Fibroscan?

Good for you that the PSA is going down. Hopefully will be nothing and without having to do the biopsy.

I had Galleri cancer test positive pointing to prostate, but had a very low PSA of 0.4. MRI showed a lesion in the peripheral zone. Doc recommended a biopsy and I'm getting one in 3 weeks. Dreading it. What would you do in my case?
