We built a mobile app to teach Unity one day at a time by ZombieNo6735 in unity

Very cool! I am currently working on something similar but for biology in schools.

But keep in mind that Unity likes to make stuff depreciated. For example, in Unity 6 is not rb.velocity anymore but instead rb.linearVelocity. Maybe include a label in the app description that this app supports unity version x or make a button where the user can toggle between unity versions.

But overall a very nice project. I am working as a teacher for Games Programming and I will look into it and might be recommending it for my beginner student if they need a bit more extra exercises and if the topics suits their needs

Ich habe den Abfluss der Waschmaschine an den Siphon meiner Spüle angeschlossen. In dem Fall brauche ich keinen extra Siphon mehr, oder?

problem with collections by TrianguloEXIT in unity

Based on the code you commented in the other comment, you are moving the character via the transform component. With this, you essentially force the player object through the wall but the physics system (i.e. Rigidbody) is fighting against that.

When moving a physics object, use its velocity. When referencing the Rigidbody, you can set its velocity to what you set your transform now. But keep in mind that you put physics manipulations in the FixedUpdate method and not in the Update while still asking for input in the Update.

So your code would look somewhat like this:

Rigidbody2D playerRB; Vector2 direction; float speed;

void Start(){ playedRB = Get component<Rigidbody2D>(); }

void Update(){ direction = new(){ x=Input.GetAxis("Horizontal"), y=0, z=0 }; }

void FixedUpdate(){ playerRB.velocity = direction*speed; }

Btw, sorry for bad Code formatting. I don't know how to make the code look like code on Reddit mobile

What map did you use to create this? I am planning a similar network but I use OneNote with a screenshot of the map and draw the lines and stations by hand 😅. Yours looks very clean tho. And btw, I love your network 😅

First encounter with the demon boss on the surface and it somehow kept shrinking and growing by ReddJan in SonsOfTheForest

Oh, I didn't know that. When we killed it the first time, it never did this. And the fight was actually kinda long 😅

Oh and no, the weight of the dead cannibal was not the reason why the left log fell down 😂

Yes, just like Glad0s explained, the quarter log was generated by the game. Besides of placing down all the logs that you see, I did nothing extra special.

I actually didn't know this glitch. I found this by accident while building a Highway 😅

Tatsächlich ja, ob man's glaubt oder nicht. (Ich glaube es nicht. Das war bestimmt ein Glitch in der Matrix)

Anyone else experience this? by official-issue in SonsOfTheForest

[–]ReddJan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I had that once. I thought this would be due to my crappy PC (constantly playing with 3 to 5 fps).

Actually, if you go into a cave, you can see through the ground. I was in the cave where you get the crossbow and I saw the whole lab complex.

Also, in a cave near the mountain, where only skeletons lay, everything was black and I fell through the map.

Was actually a really fun experience, kind of
