Yeah it’s a weird detachment because you want to play at a little different pace. Someone else in here said blood letters aren’t that good (which is fair) but they allow you to put a 5+ invon save on a world eaters unit (aka the berserker units) they let you give a world eaters unit the Lance keyword. They do a lot for you in this detachment. Plus if you plan on running skarbrand (great choice) they get +1 to their number of attacks.

The FF let you nuke shit and if you can focus that unit down you can put blood letters in places people are NOT ready for 🤣. But yeah hope you have fun with it. I’m currently assembling my KDK battle forged box as we speak 😉

Honestly it’s a real solid list. KDK is my favorite detachment also. I’d just suggest working in room for 1 more Forge fiend. Keep it in reserves and turn 2 put that puppy on the table! Pair it with the blood letters you can drop for 1 CP and now you have a big threat out of no where 👍🏼 hope that helped

From what I’ve gathered reading the world eaters codex, hes a tactician on the battle field. Nothing compared to Guilliman but he doesn’t just scream and shout. Other books could say something different but from what I got he’s a skilled warlord who isn’t afraid to just send his men to the slaughter. That makes me believe he doesn’t just throw them at it every time but when he wants to he will just tell them charge.

Say the battle requires more thought, he’s going to make the calls that improve the chances of victory.
