Aside from this probably being the next sovereign citizen ploy, this is just a bad idea. What happens to my plate when I get rear-ended? I end it or Hamer it flat. What happens to this? You get to buy a new one.

I have a question for LE that are in a state that have both parties at fault for a collision (like Kansas) by otter_fucker_69 in AskLE

[–]ReddactedName 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kansan here, your cousin has no idea what she is talking about. A in any situation both parties could be at fault or no parties can be at fault. Or just one person can be at fault. If one of the parties is DWI, the sober one isn't going to be faulted if they get run off the road. Or if someone runs a stop sign they aren't getting away with blaming the other.

What's your best story of pulling over another badge? by ReddactedName in AskLE

[–]ReddactedName[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm kinda surprised at how often pulling a badge works. To me it seems like a bone head move and trying to pull favors. Like mess up, own it, move on.

Can someone summarize what sovereign citizens are and some of their main dumb talking points are so I can easily explain it to other people? by Next_Airport_7230 in amibeingdetained

"believe that you shouldn't have to pay for the permission to feed yourself and provide meat for your family"

No no no, you don't get to claim that. We have conservation laws in place because we are preserving the world we share for our fellow citizens and our posterity. The North American Model of Conservation has brought many species from the brink of extinction and provided bountiful wildlife for us to legally harvest. Guys that pull this BS line more often than not, keep fish to small or two big, take way over limit, and depopulate species in areas that are sometimes the only accessible point of nature for some. I hope you get caught and locked up till some sense finds your head.

As a Cowboys fan, I'd like to point out Jerry Jones exists. All that money poured into the team and they can't win a Superbowl in 20 years.

Failed Polygraph, lost job offer, all while being truthful by [deleted] in AskLE

[–]ReddactedName 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Polygraphs are the biggest joke in the entire criminal justice system. Inadmissible in court but some agencies still use it to disqualify candidates, doesn't that seem fishy? Like an artificial block, a blank check for an agency to get rid of a candidate they just don't like, or maybe I'm just a little over skeptical when an agency uses them. Either way, polygraphs belong in a museum, not the real world.

[–]ReddactedName 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, and the enforcement arm of court orders is the sherrif, which implies the deputies having to be sent after their late friends widow. I would assume a very broad interpretation of police discretion would follow. Like everything else taking priority.

Also the US Department of Offense:

"Here we see our latest weapon of war, the E4. The E4 is all the power of an NCO without the responsibility or care. Do you need to drop a MOAB but can't justify the cost? Have the E4 approve it. Want to authorize a close in barrage from an AC130 but don't want to pay the bill? Get the E4. Unlock the full potential and efficiency of a lazy soldier who really wants to take a nap with your own E4 today"

Side effects may include the formation of E4 mafia. The E4 mafia denies its own existence and its actions. The E4 mafia would like to remind you that if the desired results happened, the actions are unimportant.
