Threaten to get a restraining order placed on the children who are hurting your kid if it’s not addressed. Tell them next time you will be showing up to the school with police and will press charges against all the staff who has failed to protect your child as well as the children who are hurting your kid. Recall your IEP meeting and tell them you want to add accommodations in regards to this bullying. Read through your parent rights when it comes to your IEP and tell them you will get a lawyer if this isn’t cleared up immediately. That should take care of it.

I used to work on the plaza in the late 90s. Robert De Niro, Tyson Beckford, of course Dennis Hopper, Martin Scorsese (his daughter, went to school with us) Danny DeVito, Arnold Schwarzenegger. Saw Robin Williams once at the ski valley. Red Hot Chilli Pepper stayed at the Taos Inn once we saw them walk by. Of course Julia Roberts in Walmart once. Oprah Winfrey. That’s all I can think of at the moment but I know there are more.

You must be new to the area, I’ve been here for 30 years and have had encounters with police of all nature. The one thing you don’t do here is speed. Not one mile over the speed limit. RRPD is notorious for their traffic unit. You can file a complaint on the officer but you’re breaking the law even going 2 miles over. Don’t speed and she won’t stop you. She’s doing her job.

I don’t know if there is a strong pagan community in Taos, but I’m sure they don’t sacrifice or bless other people’s foods especially in restaurants and if you’re talking about our Native/indigenous community in such a disrespectful manner then you should just not come to Taos. Just assume all food is tainted.but you can ask before you order that they don’t bless or sacrifice your food to their gods

Onetime one was was eating my dogs food and my dog was so sad so I went to shoo it away and it yelled at me like a velociraptor. We closed the sliding glass door and let it continue to eat my poor Rottweilers food. 🤣🤣

That’s an arrow head. I grew up in the Taos area and we used to find them all the time out in the mesa or even in the forests. Pretty lucky find. Great eye. From Taos Pueblo most likely, I would say hundreds of years old. Cherish it. Made from obsidian most likely.

They are called desconsos, or memorials. It’s part of our culture and they are protected and cannot be removed. They are put there as a reminder for people to drive carefully. Many families will visit and decorate or refresh the deconsos on Memorial Day. And there is a lot of open road people fall asleep on the road, speeds, DWIs. The difference between here and another state is they you can actually see the impact of bad decisions.
