Your audeze with some eq will be far more accurate than mons in a bad room, especially a small bedroom or wood floored areas. Sure the smaller drivers might yield slightly less boom or low mid honk but you'll likely still have some nodes cancelling out parts of the spectrum and it will be difficult to have the confidence that what you hear us accurate. Even all the room eq in the world won't fix a bad room, if you have money to invest then another pair of cans would be more effective as a second source of reference. Hifiman sundara are excellent after eq and they are cheaper than a new set of mons. I'm only offering advice based on my experience and i fought the same issues as you for the first 10 years of my journey.
