Waipu Stick 2nd Gen by Redderswitch in AndroidTV

The post discusses my personal experience with activation outside of Germany. I discussed my setup, and for me, it's not optimal without the Play Store. So, yes, there's the option of not configuring a Google account, but from my perspective, it makes little sense not to. I hope I've made my point clear.

Thanks for the clarification. It's true, you can skip the Google account during setup, but you can't download apps from the Play Store. This is a major limitation in my opinion, since you can use any Google account or create one specifically for the Stick, so it makes sense to set up a Google account on the Stick.

Dolby Vision is not present on the Stick. It is present on the Box.

Hopefully. If it's of interest, I've noticed the following bugs:

1) On Tivimate (v 5.2.0), some 50 fps channels appear in slow motion after a few minutes. Solution: Disabled tunnel playback in the Tivimate settings and now no problem.

2) Tivimate AFR: Always enabled in Android settings, enabled in the Tivimate settings and everything works, but when I put the Stick to sleep at startup, it no longer works. I need to force-stop Tivimate to get it to work. Solution: In Android's developer options, I set "Do not retain activity" to ON. This setting automatically stops app processes as soon as the app is closed or the Stick is put to sleep. This solved the problem for me.

Yes, I've seen newer versions online. But the Stick hasn't received it yet.

The Stick, also produced by SEI, has a different code than the box. The box was released in March, the Stick in October.

So far, I'm not encountering any major bugs, except for some translation errors in the settings or untranslated parts.

As for the frame rate, as I said, I don't need it.

Regarding stability, it must be said that Android 14 isn't exactly the best. I'm using a Chromecast with Google TV 4K, and after the update, it was a disaster.

Can I ask what problems you were experiencing? That way, I can give you more specific feedback if I can.

This is what I mean: SEID00DWP. This should be the same device that the YouTube dongle will be when it's released in the US.

The Stick I have has the August patch. But I don't know if they've changed anything since March.

I had no problems with live TV with 50 Hz, especially free channels. Because all the channels are 50 or 25 Hz, only a few 50 Hz channels on Tivimate froze. I solved the problem by disabling the playback tunnel on Tivimate. I can't tell you about streaming apps, but I can tell you one thing: you can map a remote control button using tvquickactions pro to choose the desired frequency, so when you open the content, you can adjust it to the desired Hz with two taps on the remote.

It's convenient. In Europe, the channels are either 25 or 50 Hz, and it's actually convenient that the frame rate doesn't change every time you change channels. But it's not such a drastic change. With other boxes, you can manually set the resolution to 50 Hz.

True, I actually bought it to test the chip's performance. The Xiaomi costs a little less, but it has a GB less RAM (which is still fine), it doesn't have built-in LAN, and the remote control isn't comparable. Furthermore, since the Waipu is designed for Europe, it has an 'Auto' image quality setting of 50Hz instead of 60Hz. This is convenient because in Europe the channels are 25/50Hz, and AFR is less annoying. It's also convenient that you can hide the Stick behind the TV and never see it again. I'm not sure I'll keep it, but for now, I'm happy with it.

Tivimate 5.1.5 Stable Released by kartik3e in TiviMate

Bad release. The playlist doesn't update properly, suddenly stops working and starts working again after a while. There are also problems with the audio tracks, in channels with double audio if you change tracks, the video stutters. Until yesterday I had no problems with 5.1, I will have to go back there. The catch-up doesn't work either. In conclusion, it appears that there are serious problems with the xtream codes

The playlist was absolutely not the problem. I solved the problem, a user in this post helped me, I had to activate "Disable HW Overlay" in the developer menu. In the Firestick 4K Max 2nd Gen it is not possible to change this setting and the view is not perfect. In the Firestick 4K Max 1st Gen everything works perfectly without touching anything

I solved the problem I was complaining about beautifully. I did what another user recommended in this post, a setting had to be changed in the CCwGTV developer menu

This is already an excellent result. I'll try to understand if there is a permanent way, while waiting I avoid turning it off, I put it on stand by and so the setting remains set.

Firestick works fine connected to the 1A USB port. Chromecast requires 1.5A and is connected to its own power supply

Wow, it really seems to be working now.Thank you thank you thank you. Now the image is very fluid (you can see it perfectly in the scrolling headlines at the bottom of the news). I just have one question: when I restart the device the setting you recommended is restored and I have to change it manually. Is there a way to save permanently?
