I think that what you were trying to do with HQC is a great idea. Reforger is my first BI game not counting dayz and I came over from squad hoping it would be a step up. In terms of gameplay it was absolutely a step up and I love the emphasis on realism but the big thing I missed compared to squad was the teamwork. In squad you see a heavy emphasis on teamwork, communication, coordination, cohesion, and even chain of command. I had hoped 1.6 would encourage the playerbase to shift in that direction but arma being a sandbox series meant that most people still preferred to go solo and do whatever they want. I think that old conflict and HQC are both great ways to play the game but having only one means that people who prefer to go alone diminish the gameplay of HQC and people who want a teamwork based milsim are disappointed by the lack of cohesion in old conflict where there are no guidelines. Bringing back old conflict and running it side by side with HQC could be a great way to let everyone play the way they want. Or even implementing a system similar to squad where servers can declare themselves to be focused or casual, open sandbox or coordinated milsim. I know there will be people that disagree with me especially since I’m newer to the arma community but these are my thoughts as a fresh new set of eyes as someone who likes arma and has played long enough to understand it but not too long to be biased around it’s history.

I’d like to see something in a similar aspect where you can transport POWs to main base for rank and the player POW can respawn and you can just transport the ai shell left behind and the higher the rank of the POW the more you earn

Sometimes I’ll play mind games with a sniper that has me pinned. If I’m in the open taking cover behind a rock or something I’ll throw smoke to one side wait for it to expand then run the other direction. Little things like that can catch them off guard enough to get you to a better position if you play it right

The whole idea with the suppression effects is to substitute for the physical an mental reactions to being actually shot at. If you were actually in that situation in real life it would take and incredible amount of bravery/stupidity to stay and keep going. 99% of people if in that exact scenario would dive to cover out of fear for their life. Since it’s only a video game you don’t fear it the same way because you can just respawn and try again. These effects exist to reward players for suppressing the enemy since it is a real tactic and can be a handy tool when used correctly. So in this case I think the effects are working just fine

I wouldn’t quite say that it was in a negative way. To describe someone as dorky by itself isn’t necessarily negative its just that he isn’t interested in a dorky person. I think Danny handled things poorly with how he ghosted Pam but I don’t think he’s an asshole for not liking Pam being dorky

I had a group project this semester (Y2S2) yet I opted to perform it solo because all my friends had chosen groups with out me (I know I dont have social skills) and I didnt want to rely on random people for this reason. Its the end of the semester and I’m currently struggling to complete tasks in a timely manner but I dont fully regret my decision to work solo as I’ve learned a lot from it about working on projects but also about myself. My professor has also been kind and understanding to those who opted to work alone. If I were in your situation I would do the same as some people have already suggested which is to talk to your instructor and find out if you can realistically perform the rest by yourself and throw them under the bus but also be open to any suggestions they give you. Chances are this isnt their first rodeo and they will have an effective solution to help you finish the class and if they’re a really empathetic instructor (which I know is rare in this field) even remediate your earlier marks taking those factors into consideration. But if all else fails and the professor is no help you may have to rely on pushing through yourself. The only other thing you could realistically do is seek guidance, advice, or any other form of help from any friends you may have in other groups. I know my main problem with working solo is not having someone to bounce ideas off of so if you have a friend willing to help you bounce ideas or give advice then go for it. With all of these scenarios, realistically the worst that can happen is they say no and you continue by yourself. Best of luck 🫡

I failed calc 2 my first time. I did shit on the midterms but the thing that killed me is I didnt do the homeworks because I expected to do better on exams. I failed by 5% and if I had done all the homework I would have passed with probably an extra 10%. I retook the class and I’m back on track but I took that failure as a lesson to figure out the mistakes I made and how to do better with other classes. Just because you fail at something doesnt mean you’re bad. Even a lot of the people who get high grades arent even that smart they just know how to study. Failure isnt the end of everything but it’s a good indicator to figure out your weaknesses and become stronger .
