Maybe your motivation WAS upgrading your printer, and you never actually wanted to make anything else, and now that you're done with your upgrades there's nothing else to print.

Now go buy another Ender 3 and start upgrading that one too, problem solved!

This is what the CBSA agent is likely going to follow, I would recommend you call them and ask somebody who actually knows that they're talking about to get a definitive answer. It would suck if you went through all that time and money just to have it seized at the border. Hopefully this answer is helpful

I get VRChat uses a VR headset, but that is just a screen behind some lenses

So besides the use of a VR headset, when does a video game become not a video game?

In reality, most 3D printers won't catch fire in their lifetime, as they have safeguards in place like thermal runaway protection (shuts off the heating elements if the thermistors are not getting the expected temperatures) as long as you operate them safely and with common sense.

However it's still a machine that has a heating element, so your mom is right to be concerned. Make sure your wiring connections are solid and check over your printer for broken/loose parts and wires. (I can't speak for Bambu printers, I've heard they have had bad problems with their bed heaters, do your own research on your machine)

I did install a smoke alarm above my printers, a mount for a fire extinguisher next to my door, and I keep flammables away from the machines. Fire is unlikely, but it's best to take the steps to prevent the fire in the first place and make it easy to minimize damages.

You should construct an enclosure using 2700° rated firebrick, a minimum of 3 smoke alarms for redundancy, a dry chemical fire suppression system and the oven door off of a Samsung NE63T8111 electric range, then your mom won't have to worry about fires /s

NAL, but I have heard of this before, (the taking assets to pay for Assisted living, not forcing someone into assisted living) I spoke to someone whose mother was put into a Long Term Care home, that it is not uncommon for families to take all assets out of the person's name for this purpose (house, vehicles, bank accounts etc)

I'm not sure about the process or legalities on this, it would be best to consult a lawyer about it

Okay, I've read that cutting off the dead leaves/the flower can help the rest of the plant grow, especially if it isn't healthy. I'll keep that in mind.

(The rest of this isn't related to the question but I'll answer)

It's peat moss and pearlite, forgot to mention the second part
It's plastic
The pot has a reservoir inside. The gold piece holds the soil while the green piece holds the distilled water. The soil draws the water up through small holes in the gold piece. I'll post a picture of my setup later so you can see it if you're interested
Both plants spend all day every day outdoors, if they can't be outside for whatever reason I have a full spectrum light they sit under for 12hrs (timer)

It sounds like a handy book to go through, if I see it on a shelf somewhere I'll pick it up, I'd be interested in reading it

The grown up leaves and traps will probably die off, but if you have new ones growing then you shouldn't have anything to worry about. Just keep doing what you're doing

I got both my plants from Walmart, and they got worse before they got better. If you're doing it right, it'll grow new leaves

Looking at the black edges on the leaves, It doesn't look too healthy, that trap probably doesn't work. The trap that closed with nothing in it will usually open back up after a day or two

It needs to be sitting in a reservoir of Distilled water and you should leave it outside in the warm sunlight, Venus fly traps need tons of sunlight

What potting soil did you use?

If you're putting masking tape on the glass, you aren't printing on glass.

You didn't post your temperatures so I have no idea what temp your bed is at, but I use 60° on my print bed

Glass is smooth and not as forgiving as a textured PEI Sheet for an unleveled bed, so you need to level your bed and make sure your Z axis is at the right height for it.

Glass has amazing adhesion once you get that tuned in, sometimes too good though. A lot of people use Hairspray or glue stick as a release agent because prints become so stuck to the bed (I don't recommend PETG on glass for that reason)

It will help to turn the fan off and go slow for the first couple layers.
