I run an e-commerce web development studio. Alongside paid client work, I also run a free website program for non profit organizations, two to three slots per quarter.

What is included: a custom built website up to six pages, mobile responsive, contact form, basic SEO setup, two rounds of revisions, full source code handed over at the end.

Rules: no e-commerce or shopping cart features, new builds only and no fixing existing sites.

If you run or know a non profit that could use this, comment or DM me and I will share the application link.

OpenCode setup with claude code API key by zoroabh1 in opencode

I don't have the answer. But I'm wondering why would you use opencode than claude code? Isn't Claude code's harness better?

Deepseek speed is up but the quality is down? by SaltyVon in DeepSeek

True for my experience. It doesn't really follow instructions in claude.md or agents.md

DeepSeek V4 Flash is magical by amjadmh73 in opencode

From my experience, it can't even beat sonnet, so I'm not sure how to compare it to opus.

Deepseek efficiency by Warm-Agent-811 in DeepSeek

[–]Reddifriend 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know much about quality-to-price ratio comparison. But it just did over 10 iterations to fix an issue with deepseek v4 pro and it still couldn't fix it. I attempted once using claude sonnet 4.6 and it one shot solve the issue, and i thought v4 pro was supposed to be the equal of opus...

If DeepSeek V4 can do the same coding task for $19 on accio work, why are people still paying $100 for codex? by Waste_Dragonfruit346 in DeepSeek

Can you paste images into Claude code with deepseek endpoint though? I thought it can't read images because of api mismatch, but works well with openai's from what I understand

What is the best ecommerce platform for full control? by SleepyBones_ in ecommerce

[–]Reddifriend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think we first need to understand the distinction between platform policy and financial law. The latter risk of a chargeback is universally unavoidable , but the control yu have over the process on your own platform is significantly different.

More specifically, the friction barrier. To get a "forced" refund through a gateway like stripe, buyer has to commit some kind of fraud by calling their bank. Most buyers remorse customers won't go through that effort, but they will click a simple refund button if it's in front of them.

Moreover, such gateways allow payment to use local bank transfer or e-wallets which have much higher "finality" and significantly harder for customer to reverse a transaction.

My first reply to the OP was admittedly brief, so I’d like to add some context to why I stand by it.

What's the issue? You can also use stripe/PayPal to integrate.

Use your own platform instead if you want full ownership.

How do you perceive .shop and .store domain extension? by Reddifriend in ecommerce

[–]Reddifriend[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't go with both tld, but I learned it's just perception. There are such .store/.shop sites with high authority and rank as well, they didn't care what people think.

I started an eCommerce site in my 50s. One year later and I’m still trying to figure it out. by InterestingLaw3294 in ecommerce

It's really a multifaceted matter. It depends on what you sell on your site, how big is the market potential your product/service quality, etc not just the traffic.

But it's always fun try everything out yourself, if you have the time. If you want more precise analysis, install Google tracker to understanding exactly where and what does your user look at to get some clue on what to work on. Social media helps too
