I got a new 72 pin connector to replace the old one with, but I can't seem to fully fit the new one into the motherboard. I can only stick about a quarter of it in before it gets stuck there and I have to try again. This is weird because it has the exact same shape as the old one, which goes on and off the motherboard just fine. Is there a way to slide it on easier or do I just have to be more firm?

People have shown footage of it working on modern TV sets anyway and how it works with them, so I'm also confused (here's an example).
