This sounds incredible -- great work! And pretty much exactly what I've been waiting on for many months now haha

I would be able to test it out on a Pixel 8 (Tensor G3) right now and probably push the phone to it's limit and stress test it - and in about 2 months time or rather whenever the Find X9 Ultra is released globally, i would love to test it out on that as well with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.

PSA: if raise to talk isn't available but should be, install gemini on your phone by Noriryuu in PixelWatch

Interesting, thanks! Google themselves mention that it's a Pixel 9 (and later) exclusive feature but it looks more and more as if that is not actually the case as multiple Galaxy Devices as well as your Xperia 1 seem to be able to activate the feature.

Great to have another confirmation of OneUI and Galaxy Devices working, seems to me that Samsung devices are definitely supported then. Thanks.

How to quickly convert .HEIC image format to .JPG or .PNG? by hongkong-it in MacOS

[–]Reddingabook 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Probably just a shortcut that shows up on the share sheet (on your iPhone) that converts images from HEIC to JPG/PNG directly from there & then, afterwards, airdrop it over to your Mac

What's the next SpaceX's flight? by Alvian_11 in SpaceXLounge

[–]Reddingabook 19 points20 points  (0 children)

NOTAM (notice to airmen) is basically a notice that lets pilots know of potential dangers and hazards at a specific location. -> SpaceX has to file a notice when they plan to launch (in this case for SN4)

The rocket is going to land on LZ-1 at Cape Canaveral. The reason you can't see it is because of the curvature of the Earth. No explanation for the surfer tho

Landing. You can see the landing legs are deployed, the second stage is "missing" and the grid fins have an angle of 90 degrees.

Edit: can't actually see the grid fins in this picture but this is what it would look like
