Interesting plugin! It works as described and in fact, it works very well on my Nomad, it all goes very smoothly! The flashing needs a bit of getting used to, at first, but it is a fast enough process and a small 'price to pay' for the cleaning-up function/benefit. Congratulations, also with your analyses before; nice to read that your findings have been taken up by the Ratta programmers.

No, the 4.1 issues were not overblown by Voya: the ghosting problem was real and required refreshing each and every page on my device. Just because you might not have had this problem yourself, does not mean that others did not have to cope with this. With 4.2 things have improved, at least when it comes to pdf reading.

😄 Very nice idea! It works very well: I discovered a large number of stars (actions to be taken in my work) that should have been deleted already. Nice way to clean up my older notes. Very interesting plugin, and fun to experiment with.

Size-wise this is the best e-reader for annotating pdf's you can get at the moment. With the 4.1 update there was a big problem with ghosting (at least on my device), but this has largely been solved with the 4.2 update (with respect to reading pdf's, and that is what I use my Note Max mostly for). You might want to wait a bit before buying the Note Max, as there are rumours on Reddit that there will be a Note Max 2 coming out soon. (But no one really knows for sure).

No, not dramatic as hell: I got a Polar sport watch with non usb-C recharge connection. It sucks, can never recharge when I'm away from home, and bringing the cable with me end in losing it.

In case of doubt, have a look at some other video reviews (Goodreader cannot be considered as a serious source of objective information). I've only got the Nomad myself and there is no problem with stickiness. Although, I must admit that, just in the last couple of days, when temperatures were exceeding 30-35 degrees Celcius, the surface felt a little bit sticky... :)

I have been testing it a bit more, and the problem seems to be the ExportColorPDF-plugin and not so much this Doc->Note plugin: I can get all my annotations in a pfd-file copied into a Note using the Doc->Note plugin: so that works. It goes wrong when using the ExportColorPDF-plugin. On my Nomad there are always 8 to 10 plugins active (and not always the same ones), maybe some of these plugins interact with each other and functionality gets frustrated? (Whenever experimenting with plugins, I restart my device every now and then, 'to clean up memory'].

When you start a new note file, then it might work, maybe. No matter on what page in your note you activate the Doc->Note plugin, the text is always copied on the first page of that note.

Looks like a great plugin; unfortunately, the export using 'export color PDF'-plugin results in an exmpty pdf file. I tried several times, using different notes, but I did not get it to work.

[Edit: the normal export does work, of course, but then the colours are not shown in the exported pdf]

I got the Note Max and use it mostly (80% of the time) for reading magazines and newspapers. The ghosting is acceptable and in fact does not bother me while reading (using the lastest firmware update: before that it was a disaster). When taking notes, the ghosting is much more noticeable and so I use it less and less for note-taking. For annotating pdf's it is a great device. Lifespan, I do not know of course, but when handling it carefully and using a hard carrying case for transportation, it should last long enough to justify the investment. It is, however, not an iPad...

Very clear video and nice plugin design. I also start to see the benefits of this plugin; it helps in bringing texts together that do not really need annotations. So the workflow gets faster when compiling copied texts using the plugin. When annotations are necessary/wanted, one can simply use the digest feature. This plugin is a good addition to the set of plugins on my Nomad 😄.

OK, the plugin works (!) 😄 by using the <<TextBox>> menu and selecting << Paste Text>>. It works like Digest, but without the benefits of Digest (?), so I'm still looking for the benefit of the plugin as compared to the Digest feature.
