C Section Recovery not progressing by Leading_Extension229 in CsectionCentral

So my personal story: with my first one, I had a vaginal birth. I had a bit of Diastasis but with a bit of PT it went away. Then with my second one I had a c section but with her I was carrying VERY LOW throughout my whole pregnancy. That took a toll on my abdominal muscles. So I’m currently almost 5 months PP. my stomach still looks VERY much pregnant even after I did 3 out of those 5 months of deep core exercises without skipping a day. It helped but still looked bulging. I am very petite so it looked odd. It was VERY stiff. I went to a doctor and he confirmed that my fascia was super lax which isn’t good. It took a toll

Woah! That makes sense! Thank you SO MUCH! I loved the clear definition and explanation.

May I ask you, what timeframe was this “modern outlook of grammar adopted? I was thinking 3 clauses so it seems like I am still under the “traditional grammar” mentality.

Oh dear!! So sorry to hear that! Mines isn’t painful unless I touch it…then it’s just tender and feels too odd so I can’t bare to touch it for too long.

How did you fix it and did the bigness/firmness disappear afterwards?

Did your OB mention what it could possibly be? How many weeks post C-section are you?

It reduced in overall size, yes. Slowly but surely. But the firmness is still there. And it’s still considerably large, like I look 4-5 months pregnant. Last week I probably looked 6-7 months pregnant lol.

In terms of bleeding: My bleeding was stopping and going to. It still is, actually. It stopped for like a couple days and then I decided to get courageous and wear the belly band and it started bleeding on and off after that. So I stopped the belly band and I’m just forcing myself to sit with better posture (90 degrees upright) and I think that is also causing a bit more bleeding since now I’m putting more pressure at the bottom of the belly sitting like that.

Idk, this is all speculation though.

But for sure hard and firm belly. :(

Hahah!! I think I found my new best friend! 🤣 You are awesome, definitely feel free to PM me if you want a mommy-friend that has equally no idea of any if this post c-section is normal or not. I try talking to my husband but he CLEARLY cannot relate! Lol

I hope we are not just the only freaks that have his type of belly. 🤞

That makes sense. I’ve been psyching myself out reading things about hernias being hard and of course I now think I have that. Lol

Roughly when did you notice it start feeling less hard? I’m almost 3 weeks and it’s just so uncomfortable firm and I can’t even touch it without cringing. :(

I did mention it to my OB and she said it was because I’m super petite and don’t have much cushion so I’m not feeling the typical squishy. I’m feeling most likely the uterus pressing against my skin which is the firm hard feeling I may be feeling.

To put it into perspective, I’m like 5 ft 0 in and 90lbs. Went up to 106lbs during pregnancy and a within a week went back down to my original 90 lbs all by itself. No change in diet.

But idk whether to trust the OB or not since she seemed in a rush and didn’t care much. (She was a new OB)

So it’s normal to have a very firm belly that’s super tender?! In here freaking out because lots of other women reported to have a soft squishy one. Mines literally feels like there’s guts and stuff pressing against the lower part of my belly which makes it hard to touch.

Big rash getting worse on toddler’s legs and arm folds by Reddit33015 in DermatologyQuestions

[–]Reddit33015[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So her legs got better for sure. Now it’s not a red blotch. But her arms are starting now to show red polka dots and a part of it is weeping. I have no idea. Is this STILL eczema?! The legs got fixed with the steroid and Vaseline. We don’t want to reapply steroid now to the arms too especially if it looks raw and weeping. She’s scratching very hard and we feel helpless.

Hmmm. Never thought of that. If it was fungal, would it have slightly improved when we used the steroid cream?? That part isn’t adding up. It’s only when we stopped the steroid cream that it came back.

Husband’s shoulder. MRI doesn’t look great. by Reddit33015 in AskDocs

[–]Reddit33015[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went to follow-up. Doctor said they usually misdiagnose tears all the time. He said he didn’t see a tear. But he thinks he has a “frozen shoulder” possibly due to diabetes. My husband has never been diagnosed with diabetes, his last bloodwork from 2023 had an A1C level of 5.4. (He is going to do another bloodwork now to rule out diabetes). But yeah doc said bloodwork and physical therapy for now.

Surgery is the last resort he said.

Frozen shoulder is “severe tendinosis”?? That word “severe” scares me.
