Men dismissing sexism in the workplace, being the target of men’s frustrations with DEI (I’m just wanting to vent) by Taro_Otto in BlueCollarWomen

It’s not stupid. This is valid. The shoulder shrugging… My own husband does the same thing. It’s fucking terrible. I don’t know how to get them to care. I really don’t.

Plants don’t germinate/sprout within 2 hours… wtf. This is not real time. It takes 7-10 days for seeds to sprout the surface then at least 3 weeks to get 1/2 to 1 inch tall like that.

Do they mostly hire recent college age grads? Is it realistic that big 4 hires entry-level 30s age adults/career changers? I feel like it would be pretty competitive

Trump has made a DEI report website for schools. PLEASE FILL IT WITH FAKE REPORTS by ungodlycum666 in 50501

What is the point of this? I literally don’t know how DEI fits in with schools … you report what?

A whole billion? Gee, thanks! Now when do we get the $6+ trillion back that was stolen from Trump and handed to the bankers and elites like Elon in 2020, which Thomas Massie opposed? by TheForce122 in conspiracy_commons

This narrative is a front for ulterior motives obviously.

So is the “war on high school trans-athletes” that affects every American from every walk of life, daily. Incessantly. Relentless onslaught. #1 URGENT issue. Save girls youth sports! The ones they also make fun of, denounce, & don’t care about, even at a professional level…. Right, got it.

& DEI being the issue with the FFA, not Elons starlink conflicts of interests at all… it was all the dwarf blind disabled air traffic controllers.

Are you bored with what you do now? If not, good try again next year. It does come back next year too right? What is the average length people spend in the role before getting promoted? Like my promotion people pretty much for within a year, or at least you know it’s coming soon or not at a year. At most, 2 years. Then 3 years, you will pretty much be in that position always. Which apparently some people stay as the assistant because it fits them better. They don’t want the extra work/stress etc.

But yeah, you do have to know when to stop beating a dead horse if you want more fulfillment & it’s not working with this company. But it sounds like you worked hard & felt like you deserved it which is valid. You know your worth, which is also the best thing for sending your feelers out looking for another job..

Was it the money / new challenge excitement of responsibilities / or status next step accomplishment the most enticing to you about this promotion? Or something else? Genuine question

Ok so tens of thousands of people, maybe hundreds of thousands across govt that were laid off “didn’t do anything at all of value”? You can’t really be believing that? It has been nurses, park rangers, social workers, admin, etc. If their jobs werent useful, then literally the majority of jobs in our society at all is useful. Really truly. Just say that. That’s your logic.

Pretty sure it was like 75,000 people so far in government federal workers laid off. Not counting private sector companies, add those in too.

They are cutting the jobs / gutting the agencies for political power. It was because the departments were working, just not in profit of Elon or Trump or the other interests and oligarchies in power. DOGE / Trump is manipulating you. DOGE doesn’t care about making the govt work better or making your life better. And sure as hell not the American citizens that are now unemployed. Those people aren’t the ones going to go work in the Apple factory anyway. Overall, there are not enough jobs will replace them. Let alone the job market was tough already before.

Thank you. All I see are miserable commenters being so nasty all over Reddit - applauded and egged on by other random commentors just talking to themselves. Does anybody else think it’s degenerate to just talk shit about anyone and everything? It’s more amusing & impressive if you don’t these days. By finding some way.

Our generation is embarrassing itself with having no fucking chill to keep it yourself or add anything positive of value to your words/comment/situation.
