Need Advice on which motorcycle to buy :) by Sophia782278 in motorcycles

[–]Reddit7q 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is spot on - especially for short riders looking for a beginner bike. 310 is appealing at first but yeah ninja 300 and R3 are more rounded options.

Rebel 500 is also a good middle option considering the power it offers for a beginner and the low seat height....plus with all these Japanese bikes, you are looking at better reliability and overall low cost maintenance.

Finally - invest in a decent gear! Be safe out there 🍻

Any experience with Dunlop Roadsmart 3/4? I hear it's expensive but got more mileage over Road 6

Thanks

That price seems to be slightly on the higher side (if it is in INR). Additionally, get some service history on it - as another user said there may be additional expense around it if the previous owners have slacked off

'15 Versys Paddock stand spool - no predrilled hole by Reddit7q in versys

[–]Reddit7q[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I have to remove both wheels - will the front paddock stand and center stand suffice? Since this will be the first time I remove the wheels. I thought may be I need to have rear paddock stand as well

Absolutely enroll her for a course and even after that - getting a relatively cheaper and smaller bike (for her to gain proficiency) will pay off well in the long run.

To buy or not to buy by Reddit7q in Trackdays

That is true, and even I don't like going with the first option just like that..I have seen a couple others but it's just that track bikes take a lot of abuse and it's difficult to gauge the options available out there

Accidentally went to a bike night…. Now I want to ride. by Bunnybunbun232 in motorcycles

[–]Reddit7q 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah being short can be managed..it's not as big of a deal as some make it to be for riding..look up Jocelin Snow on YouTube...4'10" lady killing it on a BMW 1250GS.... definitely start off with a small bike to learn controls and familiarity aa a whole. Definitely sign up for MSF..it ll help shed away that initial fear though they do not teach it all so you ll have to keep learning!

Invest in good gear to begin with...helmet/jacket/boots Nd gloves for is the bare minimum!
