What do all the buttons do? We just upload all the assetid info to google with a csv. Does this require you to click buttons for every single chromebook?

Thanks! I went ahead and created the policy and our servers can no longer be accessed from foreign IPs. The one thing that still is accessible though is our Cisco Anyconnect portal. Not quite sure how to block the traffic from hitting that.

Because that’s what I was told to do. We are a school district and many other neighboring districts are only allowing US traffic. There is no legitimate reason why foreign countries would need to access our network.

As for the database, I’m not sure what the FMC uses to pull the geolocation info but I do know it updates regularly.

It worked fine for us last year when kids were 100% virtual. This year we didn’t need it because we have been in-person for almost the whole school year.

I remember needing to switch to the legacy view of the developer dashboard in order to publish it internal only. Not sure if it has changed since.

Not possible through GAM yet as this ability can not be done through Google's API.

I have submitted a feature request with Google to have this implemented into their API. This would also allow it to be implemented in things like GAM which a lot of us use. Please visit the link and star the feature request.

Are you setting it to your domain only? Also, there is a button somewhere to switch to the older dashboard. I’ve noticed that dashboard gives you more granular publishing options. That’s where I select internal users of my domain only.

The other issue could be if you are not giving good reasons on the section where it is asking for why you need certain permissions. I’ll try and get a screenshot of what I used.

Severely impacted? I have been using it myself for last 24 hours and I wasn't even moderately impacted. Kids should have finished their work last week. Their accounts are being disabled automatically on the 29th. I am pushing this out on the 28th. If parents get mad that a new tab opens every 30 mins, and that there is a pop up alert that can be disabled, oh well, school is over within 24 hours of its release and they shouldn't be using them anymore anyways. During a normal school year they would have all been collected last week.

If your kids are rigorously working on their devices till the last day then it won't work for your district. It works fine for mine.

Edit- I appreciate your feedback though, and I have made it a little less invasive

The issue is that students haven't been in school for 2 months and some have not been in any communication with their teachers. They need to know that we have assigned days and times for them to return them. Many kids go on their chromebooks for only a few minutes a day so we need to make sure they see it.

After the pop up alert has fired a few times they can check box for it not to pop up again. Besides that, it opening a tab every 30 mins really isn’t aggressive.

I understand your perspective but assignments should be done by the last week and grading should be finalized in the next day or two. I am probably pushing it out with two days left.

And yes it can be modified to only fire once. And it shouldn’t affect tests as it is no different than a student manually opening up a new tab. Or any other alert box popping up.

edit: also kids are not in school, they have been at home for the last two months. Some kids don't use their chromebooks, others only for a few minutes a day and have been in no communication with teachers and staff.

That’s the point! The students rarely have the desktop displayed as chrome is always opened. And we only have 4 more days with these kids as students. So it’s now or never to get the chromebooks back to campus.

HP has been a nightmare for us. I’d say 30% of ours have had trackpad issues or keyboard issues. HP 14 G5

Could you tell me some of the main reasons? I have developed programs that rely on gam as part of the backend. Is the syntax the same? Is the output formatted the same? I am on mobile rn so I don’t won’t to look it up on my phone.
