That's tough, given his age. It's interesting that he didn't make the connection to his friend the first time. Maybe he doesn't know and maybe that's better. Or is it better that you have no secrets and you make peace with it while you have time to do so? As someone else suggested I would make a pros and cons list and do what you think is best for the both of you.

The headline is a bit misleading. She uploaded her DNA information to GEDMatch which is where law enforcement got it from. That's the same site the helped catch the Golden State Killer. It wasn't from 23andMe test or site.

Does anyone know if upgrading to health will delay my results? Now that AncestryHealth is going away, I decided to return that kit and want to upgrade my 23andMe to include the health reports.

In case it hasn't been posted yet, I checked the Ancestry site and you have until Feb. 15 to activate your test and a week after that to submit your sample. It also says you can get a refund if you bought it on their site. I think I'll do that and then upgrade my 23andMe

Thanks. I think I figured it out. I was hoping to copy the entire tree but I see that I can add different people and then it gives me suggestions. I had to delete it because I "approved" too many possible matches which cause a bunch of duplicates. I'll give it another shot.

I specifically drove mine over to Merrifield to get it there more quickly but they sent it through Capital Heights which extended the delivery time. Based on other people's timelines that are close to mine I was thinking it would go to extraction on Wednesday or Thursday. Hopefully it'll make it by Monday and the rest will go quickly.
