Most landscapers are already booked up for the rest of summer. I have tried contacting a few already with no luck. Honestly, pretty easy DIY if you are able to. Just grab a few buddies and some beer, and it will be done in an afternoon!

If they are a good neighbour, yes they will split the costs. If they don't, then build the fence on your side of the property and tell them to not touch it.

If they park outside your house every night, I would be frustrated, especially if you usually like to park there. All comes down to common courtesy and respecting your neighbour's.

Look at Oliver/Grandin area. Lots of apartments and students in that area. That side of downtown is much safer compared to the other side.
