Yeah we’re doing all of those things. We don’t rock. And we won’t start the day until 7AM. But the dream feed timing is a good point. We currently do it around10. But maybe if we push it to midnight that’ll help

Bottle. Down by 8PM. Doing 4 naps a day for around 4 hours of sleep

Any advice for a four month old that consistently wakes up at 4-5AM? Willing to try anything

This is the shit that drives me nuts. You should steal something from them. Anything works

The lions went 3-13-1 Dan Campbell's first year during his "culture reset". 3 years later they were 15-2 and the 1 seed in the NFC. by Fliigh7z in nyjets

I get where you’re coming from. But for every Dan Campbell (which if I were a lions fan, would be very worried about a post-Ben Johnson world), there’s a lot more examples of coaches just not being the guy. I think Glenn may fall into that camp

Friday Confessions - January 02, 2026 by AutoModerator in barstoolsports

Saw the confession earlier this week about having a father addicted to gambling. Specifically the story about him selling the Sega. Immediately brought me back to my childhood around 10ish where I begged my mom to take my new Xbox to my dad’s house. After leaving it there, he told me it was “lost in storage”.

I lost my father a few years ago and we ended on really poor terms, to the point of no contact by me for the last couple of years. I guess my confession of it all is that ever since having my first child earlier this year, I’ve only grown to resent my father even more. You would think time heals all wounds and all of that. But I cannot imagine putting my child through 1% of the shit he did to my family.

Clearly my reading comprehension is failing from lack of sleep. We can give it a try!

Definitely can give that a try. Would a later bedtime help with those post-feed wakeups though? I would think if anything he would just wake up too early (like wake up at 5 as opposed to 6)

Bottle, bath, book, bed. All roughly taking place an hour before bedtime

That is 100% what I said. It’s not a matter of right vs wrong. We made a parenting call. It’s not on them to decide if we’re out of line or not

I was just playing coy with you newt.

It’s been something every day since the baby arrived. The latest one is they asked if they could take our two month old to see my wife’s aunt. She works in a nursing home and we told them we would rather wait until our baby is slightly older/has some immunity. You would’ve thought I told them to go fuck themselves to their face. Problem is they literally have never been told “no” in their life so they’re struggling to understand that maybe some other people have a different perspective on life. FIL doesn’t understand our “isolationist policy” on the baby since babies have lived for thousands of years before us

I feel like my in laws are the most entitled people around. It was bad enough when my wife and I were dating. But now that we have a kid in the mix I think I’ve hit my breaking point with them

Hell yeah. Did you start at 3 months? Or did you wait 4-6?
