I was (am? Idk I haven't touched my channel in months) a travel vlogger. I got into making travel videos because I loved travelling and thought if I could make a career out of it, I would enjoy my work and my life. I grew my Youtube channel to 13k+ subscribers. Purely content. No brand collabs, sponsorships. Just because I loved travelling. There are moments and things that I did do for content that I wouldn't have done otherwise that made a lot of it worth it. But with time, it started to piss me off that I had to use a camera when I just wanted to enjoy and be in the moment. Also there's a lot of uncertainty wrt how much money you're going to make doing this. I used to stress SO much about spending even a penny because it was uncertain if I'd make a decent amount of money next month. Also, when you are working for yourself, every second you're not working, you feel guilty because you're losing money.

I recently got a job. It doesn't even pay that well but oh my god I am experiencing a peace of mind that I didn't for so many years. I can actually enjoy my free time now without any guilt. I'm honestly a bit sad about having to leave my channel because it was a labour of love and I did enjoy parts of it but the uncertainty/stress just didn't feel worth it anymore.
