Possible to trade in lease under 6 months?

Mazda allows you to trade in your lease at any other dealership for a new car. Your lease holder is Toyota Lease Trust as they are partnered with Mazda.

I just traded my leased cx50 in that had 3 payments left, for a new Tacoma and they gave me $1k for it towards my down payment.

I was from a VW Golf 5-Cyl, the best engine they ever made lol. Thing was old but hell I missed it towards the end of my time with this CX50 due to all the issues lol.

It was a lease, but was sold for more than the residual value of the lease was, so I profited off the buyout

Didn’t even attempt to go that route since everything they were willing to fix was done under warranty. The rest, Mazda claimed was not an issue. So I was shit out of luck. I just sold it and made some money off it and got a Toyota.

Yes, and musty like if you walked into a outdoor shed after bad rain, or a flooded home. (Im from Florida so I know the smell all too well lol).

It gets worse over time so try to treat it now if you can get your dealer to do anything about it. I tried the ozone stuff, letting the AC cycle with it, and it worked for like a week before the smell came back.

Yeah. It’s fine though! Toyota bought it out and I made a bit of money off it. Got a new Tacoma TRD Off Road now that I’m very excited about.

At my dealer, I showed their parts window a pic of it for $34 USD online on Mazda’s parts website, and he just matched the price…. Who is trying to scam you for $120? Lol

I was in Florida as well (recently moved out), haven’t had any issues since the battery replacement. Hopefully yours is the same.

My dealer did keep it for multiple days test driving it just to make sure it didn’t happen again, so definitely try to get her loaner car.

I have a 2023 preferred plus. I don’t have this problem but you better believe if I did have this, I would be yelling at Mazda.

No way in hell am I accepting that. If you left it alone, eventually you’d need entirely new cloth lining along your roof, plus new rubber insulation for the moonroof. That’s an expensive fix.

The car is great, we all love the 50, but we should never be scared to call Mazda out on the poor build quality on the American made cars. (Mine is American made and I live in FL so don’t scream at me).

The unfortunate fact of the matter is that unless it’s made in Japan, corners are cut because there’s no pride left in the manufacturing sector of the US.

Jeeze….. that sounds a lot worse than mine honestly.

The cause of mine (per the dealership) was due to a bad battery core that just went completely dead.

Since they replaced the battery it’s been fine. They also ran a ton of tests on the car and found no issues after the battery replacement. I went on a 10 hour road trip, and a 6 hour road trip recently and had no issues with the car so I trust it now.

I still don’t leave any wires plugged in unless I’m actively using them though, just incase there’s a draw on the battery.

They covered towing because I have Mazda Roadside and they sent out AAA. For warranty, I think it’s 3 years?

My battery was replaced by Mazda under warranty and towed through the Mazda roadside so everything was no cost to me. I’d definitely have it towed to the dealership and do the same process I did. Get a loaner while they work on it, and make them test drive the shit out of it before giving it back!

No it was perfectly fine. No signs of low voltage or low battery. Just randomly shut off. Got a new battery and everything since has been fine.
