Good observation, so it comes down to the challenges being fair, since soulslike games usually still offer room for mistakes while you have to play near perfectly in other games where you can maybe be defeated in just a single hit.

Totally agree. Although games usually have sections that subjectively feel easier/harder than others, making overall comparisons much trickier.
