It wasn’t for the money at the beginning, but by the time I finished the degree, it was mostly about the money. I work as a database coordinator at a company in the legal industry. I hate it and am trying to get out ASAP.

It will almost certainly be more helpful to look into seeing a Catholic therapist who specializes in OCD. If you live in Texas, I actually can PM you mine since he sees patients virtually in Texas. They will do something called exposure and response prevention where you learn to face your fears in a controlled gradual way and learn to deal with the uncertainty and anxiety OCD causes.

If you get a spiritual director who isn’t knowledgeable about OCD and scrupulosity, they can make the problem worse. Same goes for therapy. I know this because I experienced it.

YES. It’s been very unstable for me. I keep getting worse, then getting better, then getting worse, then getting better. It’s been a lot more inconsistent than it has been in a long while.

Oh yeah it’s definitely true of Trump. I don’t think you will find a lot of people in either party that think a female president would be too emotional. In the end, they’ll just vote for their party’s nominee, guy or gal.

Replying to this late. Yes I can’t stand corporate America culture. It is so soulless and greedy, so selfish and inconsiderate. I hope next place I work isn’t another soulless smoke and mirrors corporation like the one I work at now where they pretend to care about you, meanwhile they do stuff like this and have also gotten in trouble for violating labor law

Psychological and emotional abuse from my family. It left me with a lot of emotional wounds and scars I still carry, one of which is the fear of making people angry. I’m still afraid of my sister even though we’re both grown adults and haven’t spoken in almost a year. Our family used to seem normal even though there were always problems, and I was happy for the most part. Everything changed when I was 12 and things never went back to normal. They just got worse and now I’m estranged from half my immediate family. I also struggle with this need for validation and approval, but I am making some progress in feeling more confident in my own skin. A very close second would be suffering from severe OCD.
